Thread: Stunning an enemy with a pistol?
I'm not sure what the actual in-game term for this is (knockdown, loss of posture, etc...), but I was fighting with a Carbineer the other day and there was a giant enemy who wasred to us.
I said, "Wait, don't attack it, he'll kill us!" and he laughed and said, "Watch this... he won't even reach us."
So I sat there and watched as he evidently switched between action-shot and full-auto-action every other move -- and it totally kept the enemy from advancing.
I asked what was going on, and he said that a carbineer's action-shot makes the enemy "fall to his knees" (stun/knockdown/etc...) for about 5 to 10 seconds, and so long as you keep doing that, he won't ever be able to move.
SO... my question is: Does a pistoleer have a similar ability? One that can stun a single enemy for 5-10 seconds? Or is that something special that only Carbineers have?

Melee defense in the pistoleer combat XP line.
In PvP clearly a ranged KD is far, far superior. But either way, knockdowns are pretty whacky.
>> Ok, guys, Action Shot is bugged. It is bugged so that it has supression fire's effect.
>>Supression fire doesn't seem to done anything most of the time because of this.
>> Action shot changes posture, it doesn't knock down.
>> It's known, it's been /bugged and discussed.
Changing an enemy's posture effectively stuns him for 5-10 seconds. This is the ability I'm talking about. This is the ability that I want. SO... Is the only way to get it currently Carbine? But suppression shot can be used with any weapon -- Is this a bug they plan to fix? I'm considering throwing away my pistol ability and going for Carbine -- but then if they fixed this bug, it'd be a waste.
Does anyone have any idea what'splannedin the long run?
Thanks.
