Why did my damage go WAY down after I hit specialist!?

I was hitting for 270-300 (Master Weaponsmith made - BodyShot2).

Now, as soon as I trained - I am hitting for 60's again!

This makes absolutely no sense.

Hmm that is strange.

Please provide some more information, such as...

Whatpistol you are using (check its condition also)

What you are hunting (before and after you trained specialist)

What specials you are using

Same thing happened to me. Using scout blaster 50-111 dmg, condition over 800. Attacking mainly thugs.

I was hitting them using BS2, for over 150 dmg most of the time. When I trained for Pistol Spec my Dmg out went way down. It wasn't until I trained for Novice Smuggler that my Dmg points returned. The Thugs didn't con different, I would still kneel, then bs2 x ?? Till dead, but it took a lot more hits to kill em. Everyone I've talked to said the same thing, but that when they trained in thier advanced profession, Pistoleer, Smuggler etc.. that Dmg points went back up.

Maybe it's a swap less dmg, higher xp?? I don't recall what my xp was since that was over a week ago.

I noticed something similar to the post right above me. while I never got stuck til training a new skill I have noticed that as I go up the pistol tree, and now to pistoleer, each time I train I get worse for awhile. I do think that your abilities are tied to your xp, and when you train a new skill you spend all that xp, so your back to suckage till you get your xp back up.
