This is a link to a picture of concept art from Knights of the Old republic that shows a character holding 2 smoking pistols, this proves that in star wars people can duel wield.

For a simple solution to double wielding, i think that ppl should be able to double wield and all that is does is take a second less to fire, for each weapon.

Uh... no proof was needed thatbeings with two arms ending in hands with opposable thumbs can hold two pistols

I don't understand about your "Second less" idea. Do you mean each weapon would INCREASE its delay by one second? I think even that would result in an overpowered profession... let's see 800 damage at say 2.7 speed including that one second delay, lol

Umm, Jango Fett dual-wielded pistols in AOTC. That's even canonical.

do you not realize how overpowered dual wielding would be for pistoleers if they only added a second delay?

Not to mention that would be nowhere close to being realistic as the ability to dual wield pistols is extremely innacurate unless in extremely close range (practicly point blank).

Plus if this was ever to be considered they would have to add a skill somewhere to allow this.

Dual wielding pistols is something one sees in movies, and that's it. Pistols are hard enough to aim without throwing in another one to really botch things up. I only wish they would let me shoot left handed in games. That's how I shoot RL, and it's wrong seeingmyself holding a gun in my right hand.

Newsflash, a video game is no more realistic than a movie. So your point on how dual pistols are only found in movies, yeah whatever.

Second, dual pistols would most certainly be less accurate, however twice as many lasers flying around means better chance to hit stuff. Just put the accuracy dependant on the distance and put it just above the extra lasers flying around so the hit ratio isn't out of whack and I see no reason why it wouldn't be effective.

And okay unrealistic, but so is me missing a bagaraset at half a meter away standing up and aiming for 3 seconds.

Also In The Movies showed that Jango got his head sliced off.....

But he was going against a Jedi....

Still i think we should focus on them making the game balanced and fixing bugs before they add some new skills in.

Besides If they did implement this, they would have to make your accuracy cut in half and your range in half to fire these things at once. or maybe have it suck up a chunks of your pool when using it. and i mean 1/4 amount chunks

Bounty hunters think they're so badass, but both their heros have died in really pathetic fashion. Never seen a pistoleer get pitched into the sarlaac pit.

The only way this would work is if you add one and ONLY one type of new pistol that is dual weildable. Not great damage by itself, but you can have two of them. Maybe make it available at Master Pistoleer.

Dual-weilding pistols is something you'll only see in movies. Star Wars Galaxies isn't supposed to be like a movie... umm...never mind.

I think that you should only be able to wield select pistols, such as the striker pistol, what with the actual bullets and all. You would have to add some attack speed or maybe some HAM stats, but I really think that the devs should try to look into this for the expansion. Also I like the holster idea in one of the other posts. I think that this is GROSSLY needed, as they already have pocketed belts and whatnot.

That's a DIFFERENT GAME MAN!

you can't dual wield in THIS game. For very specific coding and animation reasons. ie: we all shoot with the same hand. The other hand does other things. they'd have to redraw everything for the other hand and recode it for pistol. Yes there are work-arounds and shortcuts, but they STILL would take lots and lots and lots of time and effort and work. There are plenty of other things the devs want to work on instead.Which is why, when asked about this almost a year ago they said, "Not in the forseeable future"

I think the best way to have duel Wielding in the game is have it be a few sets of weapons in its own. This way we won't have pepole running around with 2 FWG5s but 2 weapons that to the game act as 1 weapon, and this would keep it from getting to powerfull.
