Well,I do once at the beginning of the fight to use healthshot 2, and occasionally I'll warning shot something when needed. After that I just beat the crap out of them with my pistol instead of actually shooting things. It's cool and all to solo anything that I can kill before my action runs out, and to run into anchorhead for pvp taking out 3 brawler profession players at melee range because I knock them down and they never stand up...but...uh...well when I club something over the head with my pistol I can hit for up to around 800. When I use bodyshot 2 I get about 530 or so damage tops. From what I've heard bodyshot 3 isn't that much more damage than bodyshot 2, so the fact that one is a marksman skill and the other is a pistoleer skill doesn't matter too much. Basically knockdown of any kind is extremely cheap in this game and sooner or later everyone will just get a knockdown move and pvp will turn into who fires first (although when high enough damage guns get into enough people's hands that would happen anyway). PvE will be made even easier since several people can spam knockdown moves on even the toughest mob and it will never stand up and fight.

So uh...here's hoping jedi have like +10000000000000000000 defense vs knockdown, or the few that do make it to that status will just be killed off easily anyway by a guy smacking them with the handle of his pistol.

P.S. for anyone that has them and pvps regularly...are the defense vs knockdown bonuses good or worthless? do you notice yourself being knocked down any less?

Not very many people have a defense vrs knockdown yet. I have my +30 from the pistol tree and I hardly get knocked down anymore. I dont think you were doing a 800 melee defense knockdown hit because pistolwhip maxs at like 600 but pistolsmash is about 800 but has no knockdown.

Prior to the knockdown patch, jedi had no knockdown resistance. I have soloed a Dark Jedi Master using pistol whip, stim packs, and my probot as a sacrificial lamb to allow me to get into melee range without him slicing me in half. once you get that first pistol whip on him, things are over.

It takes a long time to kill a dark jedi master, however ironicly enough the dark adepts take even longer, and are tougher. I have not been able to find a Jedi since the patch to test and see whether or not they recieved a boost in their knockdown resistance, lets hope they have. If they havent **shrugs** guess ill keep soloing them till they read my bug report ive submited
