Reading posts, everyone seems to throw the numbers (i.e. 450k xp) around like they are child's play. Where is the best place to gain this kind of xp? In comparison, I'm light years behind everyone else with merely Pistol Specialist learned...

Go to tatooine and search north of Wayfar. Specifically track down "Feral Banthas". If you get at maximum range and kite them a bit, you can drop one with just body shot alone with a good pistol. They con yellow/red but thats only because of the damage they do, they don't have much defense at all. They also do not herd attack, so you can pick them off one by one.

If yoou ahve warning shot, you are in even better shap, just alternate between bodyshot and warning shot and you can just stand there while you drop em. Solo, taking down a Feral Bantha will net you over 700 pistol xp per bantha. What I do is go out there with a friend in a 2 person group. We alternate taking bantha's solo with the other there as emergency backup just in case. With the group exp bonus with just the two of us, taking a Feral Bantha down solo will net you 1049 pistol exp per.

Until you get way up there and start participating in the nastier hunts, Feral Banthas are the way to go without a doubt.
