Thread: Bleeds? I don't even MISS them!

Yeah, that's what I said. I don't miss Bleeds at all. I used to rely pretty heavily on them too. For about a week before the patch I was on Dantooine doing Stormtrooper Camp missions, and I probably wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for Bleeding those Stormies.

But, now that I'm re-doing the Rebel Themepark (for the new loot, which is pretty nice) I've had to kill quite a few Stormtroopers and haven't once cared that my Bleeds don't work the same. In fact, I've almost totally stopped using them, since it's sometimes more trouble than it's worth. Yet, I'm not out there getting tossed around by those Stormtroopers. I'm killing them with the same ease/difficulty that I did before.

No, Stormtroopers aren't the strongest buggers out there, but they can still take me down with one shot (just wait for them to hit with Advanced Strafe for over 1k damage!), so they're no walk in the park.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll get a roar (perhaps even a riot sized roar depending on how everyone's Friday the 13th was) of disagreement, but that's my perspective.

I miss them, but that's because I'd bleed things to 1 hit point and then get whatever xp I fancied. but yeah, anymore they are worthless, and as a master in PvE they were worthless before when used properly anyways.

Well, I would have to disagree simply cause of the FWG's that I have.

I've done bleeds that were around 2500-3500 health (health shot 1+2 stacked) on average,

I would use these FWG only for bleeds and switch to my other pistols right after the bleed.

Taken down kyrats like this.

So yes, I miss it terribly.

Bleed was good before now its not even worth using. one more /lowblow to the pistoleer proff. GG devs one more pistol skill that no one will use.

HS1+2 were my favourites in PvE, although I never kited or /FD'ed. It just saved my a** a lot of times when I was down and those creatures/npcs died a second close to db'ing me. When they put it the 1hp left I still liked it because I used a Probot to save me from being db'ed. It could kill them everytime when they had a bleeding on them.

Now I just removed bleed from my toolbar, no use in it anymore. I noticed the slightly increase in damageoutput (or at least I imagined it heh.) But it can't make up for it, for me it's a nerf, plain and simple.

For those who could solo tough stuff like krayts, you are the reason they even did that. I agree you shouldn't be able to use specials like that, also getting xp easy is NOT a thing you should be able to. But it's lame to make the skill useless instead of just fixing those other problems. Don't give xp for bleeding, that's fine. Make bleedings do an initial damage, great! But only 20% bleeding, that hits hard. The skill is rendered useless.

You don't miss it? Well, that's ok I guess, but that implies youdon't USE IT ANYMORE, too. So the skill could have been removed alltogether, since it doesn't make sense anymore. (I could rather use a stoppingshot instead of wasting time and HAM on a bleeding now, that's where you probably agree.)

They should have just used the new bleed XP penalty rather than nerf the bleeds themselves. I mean, if you can bleed a friggin Krayt (without kiting it into building so it gets stuck) you earned the kill man, and I doubt you were doing it just to grind XP lol. Maybe we need a skill modifier added to bleeds the higher you get in the tree the more power your bleeds have.

I really miss the oldbleeds a lot. They served me very well.

No. You haven't earned a kill if you trap a mob in a wall, or you feign death after bleeding them. That's just cheap, and entirely the reason wny the bleed was nerfed.

What they should have done was made it so that bleeds gave no exp and that if over 60% of the damage caused to a mob was bleed damage it gave no loot either.

...... I have zero sympathy for your case. You're, very obviously, taking down mobs that you're not supposed to solo, and that is the EXACT reason Bleeds got changed in the first place.

Bleeds nerf basically made me useless in pvp. Before I could stack bleeds, and target the health pool (even on buffed opponents); now, with the bleeds doing practically no damage at all, it is impossible to kill an armored/buffed player by targeting the health pool. I can only hope to survive their onslaught enough to where their mind becomes low, and then spam fanshot and hope for an incap. Why nerf only bleeds and no poisons? With food/drink/muon/dancer buffs I can have 3k mind, yet any CM can corpse me using mind poison faster than i can kill his unbuffed 750 health?

Umm. I don't miss them at all. In fact I spam it. The bleed shot does more damage than bodyshot 2 or disarmingshot. I have hit things for 800 points of damage with it. Having a 50 point bleed is pointless though.

I found the same thing, spaming Health shot 2 dose more damage than body shot 2 sometimes, at less HAM cost too.
