Thread: pistolwhip and pistolsmash damage type...

do these two specials do the same damage type as the weapon you have? say you have a DX2, and you use pistolwhip, is that doing acid damage? You are physically beating someone with the gun. I was wondering if that did kinetic damage instead. I dont think the combat system is that sophisticated, but I was curious.

Damage type is the same as the weapon, so ya the DX2 in yer question is doin acid damage when you use wip. A nice hole in the combat system if you have a selection of damage types to choose from, not so nice if your selection is limited, or just 1. This is a problem the Jedi's are running into, all force power damage is delt as Kinetic due to the saber in hand bein kinetic, I think wip uses the same part of the combat system.

I have wondered about that too but came to the conclution that it would do the same damage as the gun.
Andls should deal Force damage. No one could prevent damage unless you had armour that had a Cortosis Plating in it (Cortosis is the only metal that can deflect ls blows and forepowers, very cool stuff indeed).
