well I'm currently working my way through pistoleer and alot of people say to spam body shot until you get fan shot. but what I used was health shot 2 and I spamed the hell out of that. The reason I say this is due to the recent change in bleeds doing more inital damage it would always out damage body shot 2, But it does target random ham pools so it does not always damage the health bar. Also be prepared to use alot of stims since it does use more ham than body shot.

What I hunted/hunt since fwg5's are still a ok pistol, I was hunting savage quenkers (heat ven. ) then afte r getting some skills I moved onto pickets (low heat resists for the walkers none on the regular pickets)

This seems to be working good for me and once you get fan shot the xp rolls right in.

Hope this helps

Three major steps:

1: Top quality Ubese

2: Use a low HAM gun, like a DL44 or a Scout pistol. If the mob doesn't have a special defense, you'll save alot more of your action pool with these sorts of weapons, making you last longer to deal damage.

3: Group with another low-damage person. You will be able to support each other, since incaps and deaths really slow things down.

Ok, so I wasn't completely on with this...

4: Go up the Dodge line first. If an enemy can't hit you, there is no problem with having a low DPS, since they sure aren't going to hit you. After that, I'd go techniques because using BodyShot 2 has to get boring after a while

do a search here, we have several lengthy threads about the fastest way thru this proff.

In short,

Get buffed, good armor and a nice fwg or RB.
Head to Dath and run Giant Baz missions till yer eyes bleed.
Repeat untill insane.

Some argue that quenkers give better xp, but it is a close argument.

I've run both Quenkers and Baz Nitches....

Baz Nitches give more XP and can be a bit more fun since you are on Dath and anything can happen. You can aggro really nasty stuff, and I have a good time.

Savage Quenkers give very comparable XP, are easier to kill and DON"T DEATH BLOW. So when I want to have some fun, I go to Dath, when I just want to power grind, I have been using the Quenkers due to lower risk/downtime.

As far as the XP, grouped with a mount, I get 3900 for Quenkers and 3900-4400 on the Baz Nitches. So In my opinion, while it is more fun personally to run Giant Baz Nitches on Dath, if I want to power level, you get spend a lot less downtime on Quenkers, I don't need armor or buffs. If you are buffed fully with good Ubese, I'd say the Nitches would be a better bet.
