I logged in the other day to find my 700k credit Krayt FWG5 made by Kronn on Bria, which was a 1.5 speed 75-479 damage (with powerup), had been borked down to 1.5 speed, 20-131 (with powerup).
I filed a ticket, to get a "you should file a /bug report" response, I added a comment to ask what's up and if they are going to fix it, I get a "this is due to a recent update that has lowered damage on FWG5s", I added a comment to ask if they were going to fix it, and basically got "since there is no way to track this, we can do nothing for you.".
So... Anyone else have their guns borked recently?
BTW... Since they "have no way to track these things"... I recommend and will do myself that all who purchase/craft really nice weapons take screenshots that clearly show stats/serial number/object creator/etc...
Thanks.

dude how can you add a link to your letters ?
click Edit as HTML and do this:
Click Here To Go To www.Yahoo.com
the stuff in the quotes is the actual link, the stuff between the first > and the second < is the text you can click on to go to the actual link.

Nearly two months ago, my pre-nerf Krayt FWG5 and Krayt Republic Blaster both nerfed incredibly. I submitted a bug report and CS ticket with same content. I never heard back abou either. I've kept both guns, they are on display in my house, and have since replaced them with two guns not as good but just as expensive.

Very strange. I don't see how it's possible. I guess the first question is, "At what durability did the change occur?"

the condition on my gun right now is (off the top of my head) 127 / 893.
i actually was concerned that that may have caused this problem, but i looked in the knowledge base under item decay and it said that at condition 0 items will become useless. in my service ticket i quoted that knowledge base article and pointed out that the article did not say anything about items loosing their properties with a low condition, only at 0.
the other interesting thing, is that i suggested in my ticket that maybe a csr had changed the stats on my weapon for some reason or that it was maybe related to the crated FWG5 thing going on lately, where TH had said the crated FWG5s coming out of crates would use the new schematic.... basically the CSR told me that there have been some changes made to the FWG5s lately and that is the ONLY WAY my FWG5 could have been affected in this way.i'm at work right now but as soon as i get home i will post a SS of the ticket or try and copy the text so you can see how that developed.

I had a gun go that way after I repaired it with a powerup on it. NEVER EVER repair a weapon with a powerup installed. I am not saying that is what happened to you.... just that it could happen (and has).

The article is still correct. Your gun is still operable and useful, though not nearly as useful as before. Remove the powerup and repair it. And if that isn't the problem, what have you got to lose?
I have personal experience that armor loses effectiveness around 50% durability. It's probably the same with weapon damage.

It would be the condition, I had a pistol get around to 10% of original condition and it had lost huge amounts of damage and speed. Repaired it, and the damage lept back up to its original values. The repair should work for the gun if it is currently at a low condition.

Repair the weapon. Weapons start to loose stats after they drop below 50%.
