I'm not even a Pistoleer.

I'm just running the numbers for an average, unsliced, un-powered up Republic Blaster for you all. =)

Thanks for the info! That's a heck of a lot better than average on Scylla, byabout 50max damage. I should also point out that the speed for a Master Pistoleer without Master Marksman is 74. It's Riflemen that have a 90 base.

Just to shamelessly plug a little info on the exponential speed equation used by the game:

1) If you pick up +5 speed when you are already at 90, you get approximately an 80% boost to DPS.

2) If you pick up +5 speed when you are already at 74, you get approximately a 23% boost to DPS.

Uh we don't need calculators to know that pistoleers ARE gimp lol

Well actually is our specials worked we may be good... but er... when you look to the Bounty Hunter Pistol tree you'll find that they have more pistol speed mods than us .. troubling

I never understood why riflemen have a bigger speed mod than we do...bah, prolly some idiot putting in the values pre-release, and probably the whole reason rifleman is so powerful.

My friend has 90 Speed but I guess thats because of all his clothing and attatchments.

220-230 is the average on Radiant for base, so I just plugged in 240 assuming that it might average out.

Wow look at rifleman, try pluging in a typicalt21 with a decent slice/powerup using just 90 speed mods.......lol no wonder the devs have their nerf rifle on them. I'm getting an average dps for headshotshot 3over 1k......there is something wrong when a profession can hit an unhealable pool at that power.

Not calling for nerf, just trying to figure out why the devs feel pistoleersshould be slower and have weaker weapons than rifleman. Just kind of defeats the purpose of having pistoleer if Rifleman is the end all ranged profession. I know devs are going to fix this soon, but I still have to wonder how this ever got past test. If a player can make a program that illustrates how strong rifleman is compared to pistoleer, why couldn't the devs see this and give pistoleers a possible boost in speed or a overhall the weapons. (btw I dont count the new stun gun as a way to even it out, why because I've been camping that cave for a week and no schematic....devs should have made that schematic drop as much as the tenloss dx)

If you get a good Pistol like my friend, he gets up into the 1000s with Last Ditch.
