Thread: Pistol vs Carbine disabling specials

I played carbineer in beta and found Charge Shot (knockdown) pretty useful, but still huge drain on my pools. I got area knockdown (think ChargeShot2) on the last day and I never got a chance to try it out. Other than charge shot there were none much useful disabling specials. Some of the regular good damage shots carried a good chane of studding and/or dizzying a target.
Anyways... I was wondering if anyone was pistoleer in beta and tried some of the pistoleer and smuggler specials and possibly tried the carbine tree and could compare them to carbine.

ll answer his question. pistol had one realyl good shot, disarming shot 2, which was a area knockdown witha decent damage modifier, but its damge modifier was reduced ( i think) and the knockdown was removed months ago. now pistoleer is pretty useless.

Whoah, disarming shot did that?!
Anyways, the only debilitating move I can think of would be /pistolmeleedefense1, as the second level of that is broken.

Pistolmeleedefense2 should be an attack where you jam your gun into the enemy's eye.

lol seven months ago??
pistol whip used to be able to knock someone down again before they got up, which obviously had it's exploited application......
nerfed disarming shot, nerfed pistol whip, now we suck and have since like publish 2
