Interesting thing Idiscovered while hunting Boar Wolves.


BodyShot 2 averages between 300 and 600 points damage with most hits coming in around 400 at 2 seconds a shot

BodyShot 3 averages between 200 and 700 points damage with most hits coming in around 500 at 2.5 seconds a shot


HealthHit2 averages between 300 and 900 points damage with most hits coming in around 650 at 2 seconds a shot.


I've been trying this out for the last hour and have concluded that with the new patch making HealthHit strike health and not random that it is constinantly hitting more often, with higher damage and faster speed than body hit making, in my opinion, body hit a worthless attack. (I did not count any bleeding damage in my health hit range, I just consider that a periodic bonus to the actual damage the attack itself made).


Anyone else seeing similiar results?

Health shot 1 is a higher skill than body shot two, so it's acceptable for health shot 2 to be better, and body hit has been considered fairly useless fora third level skill. It's understandably true about what your saying, apparently. THe only other thing to consider is HAM costs.

I noticed the same thing before the health bar targeting went into effect. Healthshot 2 does more damage than bodyshot 3. Now that healthshot targets the health bar there is no point to using the bodyshot attacks. I think the HAM cost is roughly the same. It's nice that a novice skill now out performs a 3rd tier skill. If they keep this up bodyshot 1 will do more damage than stoppingshot, have a cone effect of fanshot and have a knockdown like PMD 1!

what about shoting 2 or 3 healthshot2 thenn load up on stoping shot? would that be better than constant health shots?

I would say no. I use to do stopping shot until their health bar was low and then bodyshot2. However the problem with stopping shot is that it targets random pools. Going back to Boar Wolves again, it use to take me about 1m 25sec to kill a boar wolf with healthshot1, stopping shot repeated until they were within 800 to 1000 health of dying, and then bodyshots.


With just healthshot2 I kill a boar wolf in 35 seconds flat. No randomness, every shot hits the exact same pool, very few misses and the cost of the special is equalivant less than stopping shot.

they need to make pistoleer bleeds faster (ticks more often) than carbineer/rifleman bleeds. that would justify the lower damage they give.


as far as fixing the current bleed situation with it being the ultimate shot, it is a game-wide issue that i knew from the instant i read it would become the new spam shot.


why the devs didn't see this, or didn't do anything about it, is hard to say.
