Ok the guides are a little old so i was wonderin wat the best pistol is. Is the DX2 still busted??

It is fixed now. The main problem with the DX2 was its accuracy and that was fixed in Published 6.

The best pistol would be the Scatter. Unless you want to count the stun pistols then the geo or the tangle would fit into that catagory (because stun rips through most armour). then again there is the almighty FWG5, but even though its less powerful it can still pack a punch against things with weak heat risistance. then there is the DX2, similar to the scatter as it does acid damage, but you dont have to bea Bounty hunter to use it. The Rebublic blaster is nice because it has AP1 and does some nice energy damage. the launcher pistol does blast damage wich is good in raids and stuff because atsts and turrets are particualy weak to blast damage. If your fighting a crit with weak kinetic (wich is not often) then the Striker-5 does kinetic damage. The D18 looks cool when you weild it. The scout blaster is a gun that you level up with. The DL-44 series is what Han Solo uses...

What i am trying to say is: whatever floats your boat, whatever the occation calls for

How are SR Combat Pistols? I've only seen a few, and I know they do energy and have AP1, but I haven't seen enough to know what their average speeds and damage is....

The DX2 is better than the Scatter since it got fixed. DX2 is more powerful, and has less HAM costs than the Scatter. They're both about the same speed, both AP1 and both Acid damage. The DX2 is also more accurate, and it's ideal range is a bit farther than the Scatter.

I have a nice scout blaster, tangle, DX2 and speed sliced FWG5, so I have all the bases covered

I know no dx2 that exsists that can compete with a pre-nerf scatter. One of my krayts is 1.8 with 370 dmg with powerup. And theres some out there better than that.

The scatters now suck though.

the problem with the sr combat pistol is the ranged of 48m

though most pistoleers like fighting within the 20m range, it's nice to bleed something from 64m away with a republic blaster and wait for it to agro you instead of the whole lair

but honestly, whatever floats your boat...... i use a krayted scout blaster as my main pistol..... i like the look, the ham costs are 12/23/12 (so basically hardly anything) and since it has a speed of 1.1, i can spam almost any shot i want

i also love my dx2- even if it is kinda slow and even if it does look like an industrial-strength hair dryer
