Thread: Force Sensitivity and you! Check this out!

This site:
http://swgexplorer.dras.us/

Has updated Jedi skill trees and Force Sensitivity trees. No confirmation on their accuracy yet, BUT this is the site that had the current Jedi skill trees posted before any Jedi had even unlocked a slot yet.

Check out the Combat Prowess and Enhanced Reflexes sections of Force Sensitivity for a look at how this might effect Pistoleers.

Crafting Mastery of course just relates to crafting, but check out the Persuasion and Jedi's Luck skill mods under Heightened senses, they sound pretty funky.

Again, this is unconfirmed info, but this site has been accurate in the past. Proceed with caution..... but excitement too hehe

Maybe i'm cynical, but this looks to good to be true.

That would be amazing. It may make people become more specialized in their career choices. Instead of being a Smuggler (my primary profession) along with a Pistoleer and TKM, this would push me to be a Smuggler/Pistoleer with all the ranged accuracy and defense mods (if this tree is valid).

I wonder how the average chump gets Jedi experience...and some of those mods, like 'persuasion' sound interesting.

Based on this person's previous work, I'd be inclined to believe it's true, but I won't get too excited....yet.

This may indeed be included in Publish 9 but i don't think that the non-Jedi amoung us get to access the Force Sensitive skills until Publish 10 when they add the Jedi Unlocking quests. I tried looking for the publish 10 info but couldn't find it so i'm reallying on my questionable memory. These trees make sense in connection to what i recall the dev's saying about unlocking the Jedi FS with publish 10.

I think you need to get 24 force skills to unlock the Jedi slot (again, this is just what i remember...).

You are quite correct.

Publish 9 will change everything for current Jedi only. In fact, you will not be able to unlock a Jedi between Publish 9 and Publish 10. You CAN still earn credit toward the new system by doing Holo-professions, but you won't be able to unlock your slot.

Publish 10 will introduce the new unlocking system. You will need 24 boxes in the Force Sensitivity "professions" to be able to become a Jedi. I don't know if you have to keep your FS skills once you can become a Jedi, but I'd assume that you do.

What I like best about these skill trees, is that everything is passive. There's no big uber special attack, and no new schematics for crafters or anything. It's nothing people will feel required to get (unless you're hardcore PvP). It's a very "behind the scenes" kind of thing like you would expect it to be. There is a small discrepency in the actual Jedi trees (two areas have overlapping Force powers), but I'm very pleased with the Force Sensitive stuff. I really hope that this site is accurate like it was with the old Jedi skills.

This has been a reputable site for some time. This data was pulled from the client side files downloaded in Publish 9. I'm pretty sure it's technically against the EULA, but nobody seems to mind. It's just information, after all.

Something I admire about this community is their tenacity, that's for sure..

An interesting comment from TH regarding the site with the skill trees:

So wait a minute. Is the force sensitive thing going to be just another profession you can take right now? Are the skill points in it something other than normal skill points? If so, I wonder how you earns em. (I say that since piloting skills will be a different kind of XP and skill point I thought.) If not, do you think we'll get an increase in the base amount of skill points it takes for a character? I'm already hurting for skill points. And considering dropping some of those box consuming scout skills for smuggler. But if I have to save em for force sensitive, I guess I will.

Publish 16: "To offset the fact that every player who has played for more than three months has force sensitivity, we will be revamping the Jedi system..."

Nice idea, I hope they are assuming how it ties in to upcoming changes like the often-cited "combat balance."

Two funny skills:

"Persuasion - gets you better prices from skill trainers" -- who cares?

"Luck - gets you more loot money" -- will be nice if they make credits looted worthwhile, or make this improved chance to get a good item instead of another broken datapad

The Force Sensitive skills will use the same set of skill points that we are currently using. Notice that each skill box only costs 1 skill point. In other to become a Jedi you need to have 24 Force Sensitive skills, which leaves a Jedi with 226 skill points for their actual Jedi skills. They won't be giving people more skill points due for this.

You earn these skills by doing quests. From what the Devs have said, it seems that quests are the only way to earn these skills.

Jedi on TC2 have stated that Luck improves your chances of looting. With all of the Luck skills, one person said they looted something 95% of the time, though it did not increase the quality of the items looted.
