Thread: BEST IDEA SINCE NERFING PISTOLEER BASED ON ITS POPULARITY BACK IN THE DAY!!!

why dont we just bribe all the jedi into complaining that pistoleer sucks really bad!!! the devs clearly care about their opinion. (see: cm finally fixed because jedi cried, saber tef removed because jedi cried, PERM DEATH removed because jedi cried, ENTIRE GODAM PUBLISH DEVOTED TO JEDI BECAUSE THEY CRIED)

i would expect to see pistoleer hotfixed to uber godliness within the hour if some jedi's started a petition asking for us to not suck.

No watch, we'll get nerfed again


Devs: You have way too much dodge, you don't need all that, how about we just take some of that off your hands (Devs remove 90 dodge)

Devs: whoa, you guys are way too accurate past ideal range, we've run some internal tests and decided it's best that we limit pistol users to only 12m max.

Devs: Fan shot is apparently the best special in the game according to people who have never been pistoleers (because we value their opinions as much as yours, and since they outnumber you we listen to them instead of you), so what we're going to do is go ahead and give that special to Riflemen because they seem to need yet another working AoE attack.

Devs: Melee'ers are complaining about missing you too much, and since you are a ranged proffession you have no need for you melee deffence, we'll just get rid of that for you.

Devs: Good news, we've fixed stopping shot, it now has a ranged knockdown effect, but due to the power of this attack even with 100 pistol speed you will still have a 10 second delay on firing your next shot.

Devs: Okay last fix guys, we've actually fixed disarming shot 1 and 2, these will hit your opponents weapons and damage them by 2 condition per shot for 1 and 3 condition per shot for 2, but due to the potential grief we've made it so every disarming shot 1 damages your pistol by 10 condition and 2 damages it by 20.

Devs: now don't say we never gave you guys anything you ungrateful.......


Heh, well at least we still have pistolmeleedeffence eh?


Devs: Oh ya, we fixed that too, it now works exactly like pistolmeleedeffence2

You forgot they also changed the entire loot system to basically all crystals(for jedi's) and virtually stopped all other loot(anyone looted a junk kit piece yet).....and virtually made jedi impervious to the only profession that could hunt them down...saber block easily blocks 90% of all ranged attacks.

A dev told BH (on jedi forums) that "it is NOT the job of the bounty hunter to hunt and kill the jedi nor has it ever been or will be. TKA will be the new jedi hunter"so I guesssince the SP change, BH's job is to sit there and look gimped for another year awaiting his next revamp. I can't believe the devs called that tiny little change a great help towards BH, it was blantantly to allow everyone else to hunt jedi without making BH completely irrelevant. He is now, more than ever, a stacking profession, so everyone can stack their pistol, carbine and investigation skills.


PUT THE PIPE DOWN DEVs, that's more than enough crack for you. Start fixing your game before everyone stops playing. About 80% of players left are only here waiting for combat balance and if that sucks balls like every other patch of 2004 after a nine month delay to it then you'll lose 100,000 subs. lol

since when did a dev say that? do TKA have jedi mission terminals? not bloody likely. Back it up or back down.

Thunderheart did indeed say something to that effect, on the Jedi Punchlist feedback:


21. Jedi cannot block melee attacks....at all. This is unacceptable.

Jedi are not being designed to be the perfect solo character that can defend against all other classes. Jedi are not “scrappers” and by definition, Teras Kasi was developed specifically to fight Jedi at close range. This will be especially true when Jedi are given the ability to block ranged attacks back at their opponents. Melee attacks are something the Jedi should be wary of.



He was trying to make a connection to Teras Kasi in the Expanded Universe (books, comics, etc). They really were developed (in the EU) as jedi killers. He didn't mean to say they were developed as such in the game. I'm really not sure why he brought it up at all, but has seen the mistake in doing so.
