I am not trying to be insulting or flame anyone but if after 1 full year you didnt get it yet you never will...
THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact is and #s dont lie this time last year there was 350,000 Subs. to SWG. As of 6/30/04 there is now 120,000 subs. to SWG. (side note) 120,000 is 80,000 shy of breaking even for the 04 fiscal year.
This is due to the fact that SOE doesnt care they never did they never will. They want our money not our thoughts the longer you continue to sink money into this mess the more you pad thier pockets and the less they will do.
Many many many issue more then anyone can count have been in this game from beta day 1. And guess what they are still here to this day.
This game was made to be not just another starwars I am a jedi or rouge leader game. It was ment to be something different however all the crying and endless complaining has made this game nothing more then a hyped up grafix version of every other jedi loving starwars game out there. I never wanted to be a jedi and have never even read a holo muchless hunted for then if i got on i sold it or put it on a book shelf. I got this game cause I wanted to be a smuggler I wanted to be a careless rouge as quick with my blaster are with my wit. Spending free time in a bar playing sabacc or rolling the dice of chance but no now I must be a jedi or a BH to have involvment with anyone aside from AFK holo grinders or AFK tummble grinders.
Let end this swill and move on. It will never be what this game was ment to be and now with yet another full patch given to jedi it will only get worse.
And yes I quit playing but my wife enjoys her friends in game and so I am stuck paying for it still. (side note) This is a ver very nice Instant messagenger

lol. I hear you, you've said all the things that I have been saying for a while ingame and said them in the forums where people would read it. Too often have I offended my guildies with my extreme opinions on Star Wars continuity and how"a long time ago in a patch far far away all jedi characters should be deleted" and the game should live up to its Star Wars name. now I petition people to get the devs to change the splash screen to edit out the words "Star Wars" because this game bears no relation to even those piles ofhorse **edit**sequels.

I couldnt agree more, holocrons and Jedi have ruined this game from what it was supposed to be. But look on the bright side, you can play City of Heroes, its a great game, and instead of paying to wait for this game to get fixed, don't pay anymore, and wait for World Of Warcraft. Cause thats what we are all doing right now, is just paying them to fix the game they shipped to early, its the sad truth, but thats the state of the game right now, lol, someone should hack the homepage for em. I admidt.....I love this game...have ever since I first heard about it.....a chance to "live" in the star wars universe.......to delightfull for words.....but I have to agree....jedi, jedi, jedi. It's been nothing but jedi ever since day one it seems.....set in a time period when there were no jedi except yoda (hidden on a planet no one has heard of in years) and the emporer and his pal vader. Suddenly we have whole guild related to them, and everyone and their brother is hologrinding to get their force sensitive slot. I can see mabye one or two jedi slipping through the cracks and not being noticed....but come one, 1200 jedi? There were times the old republic didn't have that many jedi in it. Gah, I'm ranting again, sorry. Anyway....after the next publish comes out I probably will complete the "trials" to get my character to be FS.....I'll never do anything with him or the force....I just want that second character slot......two characters for the price of one subscribtion. Better than paying for two in my opinion

wow thank you all for replying I posted this message about 8 months ago - the 350,000 120,000 # cause they didnt happen yet and I was flamed to hell and back again its nice to see that people are finaly understanding what this game has become and see that I am not just one person peved or unpest I am not jedi. But a player that bought the game for what it was a non jedi starwars game.

i remember when i first read about this game, they said there would be no more than 4 jedi in the entire game. How nice would that have been!

By their actions the developers have shown that they have no repect for the players and no respect for the Star Wars franchise.

Current list of Star Wars timeline violations, if please add if you wish.
- There are jedi
- There are rebels openly hanging out in major cities
- There aren't enough Imperials, if the Death Star was just destroyed, don't you think they'd be a little pissed.
- The Rebel Hideout is an advertised structure (POI)
- The Emperor and Vader are at the Emperor's holiday home during a time of war rather than in a secure location
- Mandalorians, a 4000 year extinct race have a bunker on Endor
- The Geonosians, an ancient race have a bunker on a moon that was once a major rebel alliance base, I think they would have noticed it
- There are melee professions, these were never mentioned during this part of the timeline. TK did exist once though.
- Holocrons, ancient jedi relics litter everyones homes.
- Several characters are in the wrong place, ie Luke is in a temple on Yavin IV which should be completely unoccupied at this point. And Borvo the Hutt is in the game twice, once as himself, a Twilek who you kill, and again as a blue version of Jabba who you get to work for.
I'm not sure if it's that the devs don't know or don't care, maybe both. One thing is certain, this is not Star Wars Galaxies, it's just Galaxies. Everything to do with "Star Wars" that was once present in this game, has been either killed or otherwise ridiculed, and as for true Star Wars content that wasn't in this game, because it shouldn't be, well now it is, which is even worse.
Those are my thoughts on this matter. Please continue, this discussion is much more interesting than griping about the state of our chosen profession inblind hope that the devs happen to read the forums one day and fix things
