Novice Commando (For the Launcher)

I had thought about this template when I first started, but there was no way to do it until they dropped the prerequisites for Bounty Hunter. Once that happened, I started soloing buffed on Dath and finished Pistoleer and Smuggler by Friday evening. It was a lot of fun, and FAST gaining XP.

Here was the secret:

Already having had BH pistols 4 for quite a while, I had capped out on pistol XP, which I used to climb the Smuggler pistol line. 3 1/2 boxed immediately filled. Headed out and eyeshotted my way to the fourth box, which gave me Last Ditch. This is the top damage special in the game as far as pistols are concerned. Random HAM attack, but very high damage. Using a Scatter Pistol which does 293 damage after a great slice, and a powerup that added almost 100 points, Last Ditch was doing 2800-3500 damage per SECOND. And you also get Feign Death which saved my butt once when fighting Rancors, and I accidentally hit the lair. Instead of two, I now had 6 or 7 on me. Feigning death basically acts like an incap, but you lay there and heal up while it is going on, and the Rancors just sniffed at me, and wandered off. Youcan do a /stand any time you like to get up.

So, my Skill Mods ended up looking like this:

Pistol Accuracy: 155

Moving Accuracy: 30

Standing Accuracy: 15

Pistol Aiming: 16

Pistol Speed: 129

You can't ge that one, still because of points....

I have alwasy wanted to do this as well... so I now only have one choice....

Which is better Last Ditch or Fast Bleed? This will determine what tree I will go up w/ my remaining points.

Last Ditch, IMHO. It is what allowed me to get Novice Pistoleer on Tuesday night, and finish Master by Friday.

As soon as I saw the Bounty Hunter changes went in, this was the same template idea I came up with. I should have known I wouldn't be the only one. I can't wait to give it a try. I've loved being a master smuggler/pistoleer with a laucher pistol, and I can't wait to add the bounty hunter specials on top of it.

Yeah, I only included the Elite professions, figuring people would know what is needed to get to them, like Smuggler or Commando.
