Thread: Some more advice please!

Hey people who know stuff,


I have a few questions....


1).


Health Shot 1

Health Shot 2


I remembered that these used to stack but haven't used them in a while. Do they still stack? Also, will they stack with torso shot etc?


2)


I'm just trying to figure out the best pvp tactics and any extra damage will also be welcome. Currently I have a decent enough Geo Mind poison gun (something like 150 damage, 50% potency, 120 secs duration, not much but all i could afford!) so i can hit their mind with that. I'm on the look out for a mind fire gun too so i can really go after the mind, and maybe some health poison (not that these are any good v jedi as all they do is heal all in one go...boo-urns:smileysad so at least i can stack some DOTs on people. I'm currently assembling the parts for a DE10 too, hopefully get some uber tissues to make it worth while. Any advice with this kinda stuff?

I also used the MP skill multi-shot or what ever its called recently, it seems to be quite effective against jedi as it hits slightly more than stopping I think. What other specials work/don't work?

ANy other tips for maximising damage?

1) Yup, HS1&2 will stack with eachother and with torsoshot. Typically, my high-end PvE combat initiation is torso, bleedshot, HS1, HS2, eyeshot followed by pure damage (or in the off-chance that they're close enough, intimidation and/or PMD1)


That's the only one I feel reasonably confident I can give a good answer on, 'cept for a quick mind DOT owns all, considering a pistoleer can gain enough defenses to stay alive for long enough to watch it tick.

Yes they definmatly stack my template is master pistol 0040 BH 0040 smug 0010 commando. As far as pvp we as pistolleers have the opertunity to loot geo pistols with dots. My current arsenl consists of health fire health posion and a mind posion. My first shot in pvp is a torsho with the health posion then I stack bleed shotat this point I will switch to the healthfire Dot and hit health shot 1 and 2 maybe even torso again. You want to make sure you dont miss with any if these. After this I get either the launcer pistol or DE-10 depends on how far away they are I will slap an intimidate on them followed by a lowblow. If I dont get them kd after 2 shots I switch to last ditch. If I notice they heal themselves I will switch over mind posion and once I get one mind fire geo pistol. At this point stack some more health bleeds and then attack mind they will conitue to heal them self useing up more an more mind. Spam eye shot and your good to go.

Thanks for the advice guys, thats pretty much what i thought but had to make sure. Just one quick question on your advice, u both said "bleed" shot? Do we have an actual bleed shot? I must've missed that one? What's it called?

Bleed shot is a BH special



Facts to Know:

Stacking these attackis will also tack a lot of wounds onto your target also. I notice if I spam healthshot1, 2, and torso shot after about a minute of combat my target has roughly 300-400 points of health wound. This is generally the approach I take against defense stackers to put them on the defensive if my eyeshots or carbine attacks arent getting through.

Ok guys, thabks all for the advice. I did up a macro last night, see what u think.


Basically, I start out with my DOT mind poison Geo and:


/health shot 1; /health shot 2; /torso shot; /bleed shot; CHANNGES gun to max damage geo (only 400 at the mo but I'm working on a beter gun!) and does a couple of eye shots.


Basiclly, as my DOT is 45% potency, the first four shots stack some annoying bleeds etc and a 150odd mind tick then awitches to my most powerful pistol. After that I target what's weakest etc.


Ideally, I'd like to get a health poison gun too so i can really target that HAM bar, as If they have to heal they use up mind to do so and I then switch to that or if they cant well then I keep hitting their health.


Is bodyshot 3 worth much as it only really does half the damage of StoppingShot or MultiPistolAttack? I know it targets health but the lower damage?


Any insight is as always useful,

BS3 is borked, use stopping shot, BS2 or HS2

I see nothing wrong with the macro, but I myself wouldnt start out with the mind DOT pistol, unless it is also your most powerful pistol as well for several reasons:


1. Geo range is about 40 meters or so so you lose 20 meters of firing time using to start


2. It is my understanding that bleeds are a percentage of the total damage done with the shot ( I think its about 1/6thafter the bleed nerf) That being said start the macro with your most powerful gun to get the most out of your bleeds.


3. Bleeding shot has been tested to bleed multiple pools including mind and will stack on itself so I would also suggest adding 2 or 3 more bleeding shots in the macro.


4. Switch to the mind poison geo after the macro goes through then hit em with eye shot + the DOT

It depends on the Jedi. If the Jedi is unbuffed, go for whatever bar is lowest. If they are all the same, I would suggest hitting with stopping shot. Since it's random damage, which ever bar is lowest after a few hits; focus on that one.

It's also worth noting that like all random pool shots it's a set % to hit each pool. I don't have the figures in my head head, but I belive it's something like 60%/30%/10% for H/A/M.


This means stopping shot, despite being a random HAM, can quite effeciently be employedin effort to bring down health/action (I do it in PvE all the time. Works great along with torsoshot). For most situations, I've found that stopping shot, at least vs stuff like NS/Black Suns, works better than a spam of HS2 because it does more dmg, even though it's random.

Yep, that is true. I usually start with Stopping shot until I get one pool down to a point I'm happy with. Then, I switch to HS2 to ensure I finish off that pool.

the ratio has been checked alot and it is 3/2/1 H/A/M for random pool shots...not to say you wont kill the occasional target with action or mind hits when using stopping or fan shot
