Wounds are useless with buffs. You can only be wounded up to your total HAM.
Powerups that used to add to wound percentage used to be nice before buffs as they would slow down the clone zerging when people died, similar to how someone who has been blackbared with dots is now, although with spice/food someone can still continue to clone zerg you, and do damage if they have high end dots themselves.
If doctor buffs get a huge nerf in the combat balance, wound% might mean something again.

good question.... im really not sure but i figured out that torso shot for example causes a higher flamedot when you use scatter pistol with less damage than a higher damage other type pistol. maybe the wound stat on the pistol also has a small reason to cause more wounds by using dots.

wounds are highly far from useless...dots tick alot more with higher bf ask any cm why they stack disease on high end pve to get bf up to 1000 so posion ticks higher
also same thing in pvp in base defense and large battles with cloning and such high wound guns with torso shot will mess up someones health like no tommorow real quick
try this one also....torso shot for health wounds and nail away at mind with eyeshot to stack up mind wounds...now takes double the time if they want to heal up
