I'm trying to figure out a good way to round out my BH and I'm debating what skill branches I should go up in the pistoleer tree.

On the far right I have speed (important)and melee defense (which I don't care that much about). Then on the far left I have the dodges and Body Shot 3.

I think the deciding factor in this delimma would be Body Shot 3. I heard that it was quite damaging .. say 50% better than BS2. As a BH I use Torso Shot and Body Shot 2 ALOT. Especially BS2 since it uses less HAM and is slightly faster. So the question is, is BS3 even worth sacrificing pistol speed? Or should I stick with speed mods?

hmm, how many points do you have to spend and what is your primary weapon you use most often?

If you aren't gonna master, or have speed mods from out of class, then BS3 is a waste of time. You may want the dodge from the grips line, but BS3 has a lower DPS than BS2 untill you hit master level speed.

i would suggest just not getting BS3, as it is actually that... BS... BS 2 does more dmg, and fan shot/stopping shot are your friends

Get the techniques line. As a BH you have slim to none defenses. This line alone will boost your defenses greatly. Its a hard choice though between that and the dodge line. If you not being hit what does it matter what your defenses are.

I can probably only do 1 branch somewhere in the pistoleer tree, and atm my favorite and mostly used weapons are all pistols, except I'll break out the carbine for the knockdown/dizzy combos if I need them.

Lets say I have about 12-15 points to play with.
