Which kicks more in PvP, which in PvE...a Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler (with all those nifty smuggler specials like last ditch...) or a Master Pistoleer/Expert BH?

I've had Master Pistoleer and both the Smuggler and Bounty Hunter pistol lines. For pure fun, I liked the Smuggler pistol line more. The addition of Low Blow, Panic Shot, and Last Ditch added some new combinations that made for fun fights (for me anyway). Panic Shot was a hoot combined with Low Blow, but it looks like that's going away. However, I like the Bounty Hunter pistol line more due to the added accuracy and speed skill mods and Eyeshot gives me a little more of an edge in PvP. Oh, and can't forget the Scatter Pistol certification you get at Novice Bounty Hunter.
I think both will be equally effective in PvE with BH moving a little ahead in PvP due to higher accuracy, speed, and a special that targets the mind pool. On the other hand, Smuggler leaves you with a lot more points for defense or support skills.

You can get a lot more after pistoleer+smuggler to help you out. BH+pistoleer is pretty much spent.

any pistol speed over 100 doesnt matter, so if you are master pistoleer and get some attachments that will take care of that. They are capping the defenses so you won't really need +155 accuracy, because nobody will have over 125 ranged defense. If you do pistoleer/smuggler/tka it will be alot more usefull than the bh/pistoleer combo, you get both ranged and melee mitigation 3. Tka has +210 accuracy.

Well with upcoming nerfs, it wont matter.
1) Panic Shot being utterly useless in Publish 7 : after you hit the opponent for the 10 second delay, the next attack you hit on him will break the delay = useless move.
2) Eye Shot is gonna blow even more with Publish 8 (i think) : Mind pool will no longer be a speciality targeted pool. Basically they said it will be healable like other 2 pools.
