IMHO the master pistoleer/expertBH will prevail everytime vs. the masterBH/pistoleer combo. I state this for a few reasons.

First BH has absolutely no defenses, and those gained in the low level pistoleer trees do not compare to those of a master pistoleer.

BH Carbines are good in PvP, but the LLC is all but useless.

The Master Pistoleer/Expert BH has enough speed mods to hit the speed cap with all specials, while the Master BH/pistoleer only does if he takes the first two stances boxes, then he would have less for the state defenses and dodge.

The Master Pistoleer also gets better mods for firing on the move, and while standing.

I am currently a master pistoleer, and have completed all pistols skills in the BH tree. I have had this debate with several people in the past and was thinking i would put a post up to get other opinions. To make money in the game,,,i generally do solo Janta or Mokk missions on dantooine or i duel people for money. My main challengers seen to come from Master Bounty Hunters and Master Commando's.. The questions i pose is whether it is better to complete Master BH and then Finish approximatley half of Pistoleer or is it better to Master Pistoleer and specialize in only BH pistols? And by better i mean,,who wins in a duel, with all other things being equal (armor,pistol ect.). My opinion is that a master pistoleer with pistol BH skills is 5 times stronger than a Master BH with some pistoleer skills. The master pistoleer will have much more speed, accuracy and dodge which will make a duel with a Master BH no contest.

I had one Master Bounty Hunter argue that it is better to master BH first and get some pistoleer skills, because mastering pistoleer is not worth it since it has all the problems with its specials ect. ect. ect.

Well i think proceeded to burn him to a crisp with the Torso shot and he subsequently paid me 10k.

As a side note,,by using this stacking combo, between Master pistoleer and BH,,,I win approximately 95 percent of the ranged duels that i have. When i get beat it always comes from the same proffession,,,,,,Master rifleman and that wicked head shot. Any thoughts on how to take out a master rifleman?

Master pistoleer with Bh istols 4 if its strictly for PVP since u get alot extra mods from finishing Pistoleer then u do from finishing BH, however if its PVE then master BH owns pistoleer, u have 3 forms of combat LLC,Pistol,Carbine with the carbine u can apply a few states to your enemy at a distance and KD ema few times, once they get to about 20M u can use ur pistol abit, then wen they are within 10m get the LLC out and just toast em

As a master rifleman trying to master pistoleer as well, I'll tell you this, I absolutely hate KD/dizzy. If you can dizzy and force a posture change, you might stand a chance of a stupid rifleman trying to get back up.

Pistols don't have too many status shots though, I'm not sure what's in the BH tree. Stun might do well to slow us down and mess with accuracy, so you can get in close and pistolmelee us to death.

But yeah. Get close to a rifleman, that's about all I'd reccommend.

well i can tell you that I'm a bh pistol 4 inv 3 and almost master pistoleer, 1 more hunt on dantooine should polish that off, and I win a lot of pvp, I don't currently have any armor and I use a crappy gun because I still focus more on grinding than pvp and haven't baught all of my gear yet. but it's a great template.

use eye-shot to kill rifleman, even those i've seen with helm's on don't seem to layer them because of the increased ham cost, and eye-shot will drop them quick.

Toss up, depends on if the bh lands dizzy/kd with the carb, i personally am pistoleer/bh because its more useful when taking on multiple openants than being a master bh....but if you want to go for pvp god try out master carb/bh carbs...not many people use this combo but the damage of a carb along with the ability to dizzy and knock down is deadly...only people who kill me are the master carbs, and carb tree in bh...riflewho?

MBH's on Bloodfin just die. The odd one can beat a pistoleer/BH4 that doesnt have a good stun gun, but they always die to Riflemen stackers and most pistol/tka/fencer combos.

MBH's can be deadly in the right hands...problem is 99% of Pvpers are not smart enough to use them properly.

MBH can beat any single combat profession, pistoleer/nothing rifleman/nothing but when you get a stacked profession like pistoleer/rifleman the Bounty Hunter doesnt stand much of a chance unless he is fooded spiced and drunk(hehe) which im sorry but doesnt seem to make sense considering a mbh has still spent more skill points than a rifleman/pistoleer combo but oh well

Old school MBH, now a gimp lvl 70 because I decided to renew.
