I will be unable to log in for a few more hours, however, upon reading the patch notes, something kind of struck me oddly.


It states that all defenses will have a hardcap, this I expected, this leads me to beleive this means "ALL DEFENSES" including passive ones, like ranged and melee. However, lower in the patch notes, it says that all active defenses like dodge, counterattack, and block have been changed to prevent unhittable templates.


So my question is, is melee and ranged defenses still stacking out the arse? If so, this patch really only hurts us pistoleers, seeing how we couldnt hit someone with over 120 ranged defense with any regularity anyway.


Please tell me I'm just reading that wrong, and indeed as they said at the top of the patch notes, "ALL DEFENSES" were capped...

Well, one nights fighting and I've got to say that there definitely seems to have been more fixed/capped than just the secondary defences, but that just may be 'perception' rather than reality, will need a few more nights yet to judge it fully IMO.

As a Pistoleer/Smuggler I've just had one of the best nights PvP action yet, I didn't come across anyone I couldn't hit, and even scared a couple of people that I *might* win where before I would flee in terror at them appearing.

Losing Panic Shot wasn't nice though, however I was a Pistoleer long before I was a Smuggler, so will adapt & survive with minimal specials, like all Pistoleers
