never came close to 2k damage..i range about 500-1400 with it

what type of gun do you use? and what type of targets to u fight?


why i ask?


AP vs AR and the resists.


i think thats the only thing that changed in the last few months.



so if you are using a FWG5 with AP none, vs a AP light Target u'll hit only 50% dmg

i think thats the only thing that changed

get a nice Dx2 with AP1 and go see if it makes a diffrence

i always check out (via examin) the target i'm tring to take down, and stopping shot has worked like MAGIC, always.

Results were against npc Stormtroopers using modified Republic Blaster dmg sliced at 29%. I take it no one else has noticed anything but I certainly have. Stopping shots hitting for 600-1200 when they were hitting for 2-2800 just 2 weeks ago.

check out the ST with examin to find their resists

some of them have a shoulder pad thingy, that means they are higher rank

some are yellowish and others brownish, notice they also through nades at you, and in times have dx guns.


they also have better armor.


ST armor has high resist to energy, and even if you have AP 1 gun, it may lower your dmg.


try to use a FWG5 (heat dmg) or Dx2

and best bet is to use a Sonic Blaster (stun dmg)


try that, and tell if the stopping shot gets bit more effective.


more over,


try to shoot a Mob that has no Armor, like Cowerdly Gurracks or something.

I have never hit for over 1500 ever. This is with mobs vulnerable to the damage type I was hitting them with and no armor on themwhen I was using an AR1 pistol.


I don't have any real uberpistols other than a kryat republic blaster.

Back in the day, like 2 weeks ago when I was 0032 Pistoleer, this special hit for up to 2800 and routinely over 2k. Today, at 4144, I am hitting for 600 or so and a really good hit goes for 1400.

What the hell has happened? Nothing else has changed, no one else notice this stealth nerf?

A target's posture makes a big difference - kneeling, prone, or knocked down targets take more damage.


Not sure if that's the situation here, but I meet a lot of people who never knew until they were told.

I'll have to do more experimenting I guess. Certainly can't get that high regardless of the specific trooper or posture he's using. Maybe I was lucky? Who knows.

I can say this, Double Tap was doing up to 2k per hit and I was getting asked by teammates what the hell I was using to hit so hard with.

The only way i get a hit with with stopping shot that high is if they are KDed, and even then it wasn't "routine".

My stopping shots have always hit for 2k-5k, I have not seen any changes at all. Is your gun so damaged that it's stats have been lowered due to a really low condition? Do you use the same test subject with the same test conditions for your experiments? If I pistol whip a target and use my krayted prenerf I can easily hit the target for 3-4k with the rare hit of 5k once in a while. If the target has a resist to my gun and the kd failed I will only hit for 2-3k, so making certain that your test scenarios are the same is quite important.

Best dmg ive done was around 1400 with a DX2 using stopping shot


and 1800 with last ditch,


best way to do a lot of dmg is too have dirty fighting 4.... u can get 3200 hits when using lowblow and then last ditch

can allso use panic shot so the mob will stay down for 10 sec's.....
