Thread: master pistoleer worse then novice rifleman? Pistoleer definitely needs more power

I got master pistoleer and then dropped it after 2 days(after I got my pistol xp hunting on Dath). Pistoleer is bad. In my opionion master pistoleer is probably worse then novice rifleman. Well, I only played rifleman 0002 for like 30min last night and I feel that rifleman is way more powerfull then pistoleer. I have a normal sliced T21- max damage 480. I use mindshot2 for like 2400 damage. bang bang bang and the savage queker was dead. I wasn't able to have more than 1500 damage with my DX2 or Blaster pistol using any of the specials. I think they should fix pistoleer or nerf marksman. And TKA. and.... my one work opinion about pistoleer: sucks! And don't even think having pistoleer withour the dirty fighting tree from smuggler... Such a shame...

So just to clarify, you were a master pistoleer with or without the rogue tree?

So you are saying that a novice rifleman using a Damage sliced t-21 that is probly about 7.x speed who probly fires a special every 5-6 second can do more damage per second than a master pistoleerpistoleer with a 2.x speed pistol firing 1 special per second. That is completely untrue, at master yes a rifleman can do more damage since they come close to firing at once per second, but absolulty no way that a novice can do more damage than a master pistoleer. I do agree that pistoleer needs a boost in power and mainly need all of the specials to be fixed however.

Master Pistoleers do not need more power. We need our specials fixed. Give the Master Pistoleer working specials that are very fast and powerful andallow us to target one HAM pool as effectively as the riflemen do. Make Stopping shot STOP targets. Allow us some sort of status mods.The rifleman should have higher AP and the pistoleer should have speed and accuracy. I hate the idea of nerfing one class to give another more effective techniques but that seems to be the way of things in SWG. Although the rifleman community hates the idea of capping weapon speed it seems to only be fair that they should be.

I don't think you're right, pistoleers are quite good, combat is not all about damages, it's about defense as well, get in range of a TKM with your rifleman, and with a pistoleer, you'll see the difference, I play both, rifleman on one char, and pistoleer on the other char. it's not the same thing, not at all, it can't even be compared, riflemen do more damages slower, and pistoleer do less damages, faster, with melee oriented defense modes (dodge, def vs KD).
and the ideal range on rifles is quite hard to keep in PvP.

Actually I disagree. Riflemen shouldn't have higher AP. IMO the T21 should be a commando weapon not riflemen.

let me start by saying I think pistoleers are gimped, and should have higher speed mods. you shouldn't have to be a bh to use specials at 1 sec.

however, novice rifleman is HORRIBLE. they typically attack with specials every 6-8 seconds. also, mindshot2 is in the sniping tree, and two boxes of special abilities give +20 speed bonus. that's a far cry from novice rifleman, I assure you.

so, i can guarantee that a master pistoleer will roast a novice rifleman. the title of the post is ridiculous.

that said, I also agree that pistoleers need more speed lower in the profession, more than anything. it's also a shame that the best dps shot is a marksman special until you hit master or near master.
