Considering the skill point investment, TKA makes the most sense, seeing as how you HAVE to invest in unarmed 1-4 for Smuggler. Also, Devs love TKA--it has good KDs, good dizzys,mindattacks,meditation, power boosts, and very heavy damage.

I am 4/4/4/3 pistoleer right now 30k xp to go 
. I am 2/2/2/4 ch but that has to go. I want to create a decent PvP character, getting beat up all the time sucks. I def want to add smuggler dirty fighting and then melee..the question is which melee, should I go TKA or fencer or swordsman? Any advice/ideas.

Master pistoleer. 0040 Smuggler. 4004 TKA. Novice Commando (launcher pistol). Put the rest into medic.

I've tried the launcher cert, it's really not worth it at all. Sure it's a fun pistol to use but in the end you really don't get any extra pistol mods from commando, and all the points spent on Master Marksman just aren't worth getting novice commando.

Getting the launcher pistol cert is worth it if you have an uber launcher. I can take down an atst in no time by spamming last ditch on it, doing about 2k-3k damage per second.
