As for the knockdown shot we have 2, first is melehit1 in pistols, the other is lowblow in smuggler. I have not come across a dizzy shot yet.

I have been able to dizzy KD an opponent by spamming eyeshot from BH pistol tree

ok as a master pistoleer/bh pistols 4/smuggler df4 what really works for knockdown?do we have any specials that dizzy? what attacks besides eye shot should i use in pvp?
i'm a long time rifleman/doc that is crossing over and needs some help as i have never pvped with this new template
also is fanshot an aoe attack or not? the description says it attacks a single target multiple times, but i hear people say it is aoe...

Fanshot seems to be aoe. I have been farming jantas like mad with it and sometimes kill other jantas while im still killing my main target. Go try it out. its great

Fanshot is a Cone AOE attack so the farther the target the larger the AOE. As for PVP (for your template)the main attacks are Fanshot, Eyeshot, and Last Ditch. Try healthshot2 if you have to hit the health pool or torso shot if you feel like setting someone on fire. The KD's are iffy because of defenses and KD resist food.
