From what I heard, the best jedi hunting is done with as little BHand as much melee possible. Of course, in the end it's not what template you choose, but how you play it. There are Master Bounty Hunters who kill jedi by fighting smart (or dirty, depending on how you look at it).

If a Jedi was smart he would have smuggler just for FD... when ever a bh comes just lay there the whole day

Looking for pistoleer for defense not offense. I was told it would be better to get this rather then get another full line of brawler becuase then i would only have enough sp for 1 line of an elite melee prof

Does anyone know if the Pistol Melee Defense specials go through saber block or not? Logically, I dont think these should be considered ranged attacks, and if they arent, then that at least gives us a slight chance to catch a jedi off guard and deal some damage with our pistols. Has anyone tried this?

Oh right, I got carried away on that last post that I forgot to respond...
Like said in earlier posts, you're better off with a melee prof, I'm thinking master Fencer, BH 3000 and Pistoleer 1040 for dodge +130 and some extra defenses.

I'm looking to be a solid jedi hunter, so far I have worked my template down to:
Master Marksman
4000 Scout
3000 BH
3000 Brawler
TKM
and I'm also getting some pistoleer for defense
So heres the question....
Strictly jedi hunting, what would be the best pistoleer lines to go up. Also, would it be worthwhile to go up the bh pistol line even though jedi can block almost every shot? I was thinking of doing the 0044 pistoleer. Thanks

Obviously a jedi hunter would be better off with a melee profession. But for those of us who want to stand a chance against a jedi, having the pistol melee attacks actually do melee damage isnt such a bad idea. Not only is it logical, but it could make pistol melee 2 useful for once. I certainly would love to see that.
So has anyone tried this? Does it work? I would test it but my jedi friend is on vacation right now.

I think master lightsabres block 85% of the shots, however, the answer is the same: none, unless you take the states defence ones or to cap dodge if you go fencer (TKM works better against jedi though)

I saw a few posts a week or so ago where people have tried pistol melee attacks but they were blocked by jedi. Apparently they are considered short range ranged attacks instead of actual melee attacks because they were done with a pistol. No official word on this (of course) just speculation by the people doing the tests.
