Thread: Bye Bye to another Pistoleer

well ive been pistoleer since the beginning and always had the attitude that i would never drop it. I sold out and went swordsman. I just got sick and tired of being constantly outdamaged in pve. Now that im swords im kicking myself for not dropping sooner. The game is fun again and im not always pissed off for losing kills. Now i just gotta sell about 50mill in pistols.lol.
props to you guys/gals that stick with it. hopefully revamp is kind to you all.

I know how you feel, a lot of us have been bravely stuggling on with Pistoleer for a year or more and have stuck with it.
I couldn't face dropping Pistols on my character though so I've just started a new char on another server and picked up Rifles to go with CM and Doc.
The combat upgrade isnt far off though, and no doubt we'll all look back once things are ironed out (optimistic I know :smileytongue

Yea bud, hang on to those pistols. The combat "upgrade" is coming and you might kick yourself later.

Yes, what we need is a defining role, something that makes us different from other professions. We cant be the big damage dealers, but we should be able to win through tactics and abilities.

I was a pistoleer this whole time as well. But, recently dropped it for TKA. I wanted to be able to grind xp quicker. But, to be honest I miss pistoleer. Pistoleer is a profession that is sorely in need of help. But, it is very fun. I can only hope they fix it someday.
Btw, I'm keeping my pistols.
Someday I'll be a pistoleer again.

Like I said, I started a rilfeman on Infinity... but everytime I hear the "WooWoo" of a geo or the slashing sound of a DX2 I feel a sense of loss, so I go back to Chimaera to play with my guns again.

I'm currently MBH/MPistoleer/0300 carbineer, what's sad is that I'm more effective against jedi using a carbine.
I don't really see the point in keeping pistols "for the combat upgrade". As long as you use all 250 of your skill points, you can reallocate to a pistol template when the upgrade hits, since they're giving us free full skill point reallocations.
