I know that carbineers are not supposed to be that good but i have a friend I am tired of losing to who is going Master Carbines and dabbing in Doc and CM and he has a nice mind fire to back it up. I plan on going Master pitoleer BH pistols 4000 Tk (because i dont like to go to a doc to get wounds healed and power boost and force of will are handy) and prolly a little in smuggler. Will my template be able to compete with his and if not what i am open to suggestions for a different template it dose not have to be pitoleer.

Thanks for your time.

You should do fairly well. If you were gonna say straight up pistol/doc vs carb/doc I would give the edge to the carb doc, but the extra toughness and def bonuses you get from TKA should more than compensate.

PvE he will have a bit of an edge in pure DPS as he has higher AP weapons and fires at the same speed you do, but he will be taking more dmg than you will, and will need supplies to deal with his wounds.

You are pretty close to the triple master template ( pistol/smug/TKA) and should give it a thought if you aren't attached to BH pistols. It has a lot going for it.

Actually as far as DPS goes you got him beat unless he gets bounty carbines, without that he won't speed cap so you can fire alot faster.

As far as pvp goes pistoleer/BH pistol you should do good, carbs main power is laying states and KDing you. Since pistoleer has very nice defense vs all these he should have trouble on you. But like its been mentioned he does have a higher AP gun then you.

Truth be told there just isn't very many carbineers out there so I don't have alot of source matireal to go on for giving you advice, summed up though I think it'd be a good match. Will mostly depend on equipment and player skill.

Against an experienced carbineer with good equipment you would probably lose but against some joe blow carbineer you would probably win and most likely they would kill themselves.

Yeah, a carbineer that knows what they're doing, you'll likely be on your back the entire fight.

But if you have BH Pistols, you can switch to a carbine, use FullAutoSingle1 to lay down a Dizzy state, and then switch back to Pistols and put him on his back with Pistol Whip. Make sure you use your Eye Shot early to get the blind effect on him too. That'll reduce his accuracy.

If he doesn't speedcap he will be gimped, and eyeshot will always get him.

I guess you're getting wasted by the poisons from his CM dabbling and Fire DoT.

If you want to be able to deal with that you'll have to get doc 4/0/0/0 and some Janta Blood Cure Poison and DiseaseB's and 55 med use fire blankets...

With that template you've chosen you'll just be CM stacked, Fire DoT'd and Carbineered to death every time.

Posture Down + Dizzy = No problem for Pistoleers.

One word: /kickupshot

Using /kickupshot and /rollshot allow you to change posture while Dizzy without falling over because of Dizziness.

Your friend will probably beat you if he invests in speed CA:s as with Doc and Cm he will be pretty good. But without them Ca:s I don't really know beacause he will be VERY slow with his carbines.

A pure carbineer will beat a pure pistoleer.

ABH/Carbineer has a very high DPS and will probably beat the BH/Pistoleer most of the time too. When facing someone with medic or a defense stacker the Carbineer will have problems though. But anyone who is not defense stacked will be brought to the groundfairly quick by a carbineer who knows what he's doing.

mmmm if I remember correctly you can only use kipup shot when prone, not KD (your combat queue just flushes specials when KD)
