Thread: Marksmen Range Support or Pistol Stances?
I just got novice pistoleer (had to drop range support 4) and ran out of points. My question is whether I should keep it this way or drop the range support column in marksmen and use the points to move up the Pistol Stances column? or another column?
Any opinions?
Thanks,

At the very minimum, get Stances 1 so you have PistolMeleeDefense1, which is a great Knockdown attack.
Depending on your playstyle, Warning Shot from Marksman might be worth keeping. If you don't use it often, then feel free to drop it to get something more useful.

I love Warning Shot too -- it's probably the best PvE ranged special in the game -- but he's a Master CH, so I figured he didn't really need it. Stances is a huge DPS boost, so he'll love that.

I just figure it's different for everybody - some people use Warning Shot all day long, other people (like me) never use it. Considering that the new creature AI makes enemies attack the owner rather than justthe creatures, maybe some defenses are in order rather than some extra DPS. It might be too early to know, but that's what I'd keep in mind.
Looks like stances might be better for me. Warning shot is fun (loved watching them run back and forth) but as MCH, I really don't want them running anymore. (So far, mobs really haven't aggroed me before pets anymore than they did before) Also, I started keeping one pet behind on "guard" initially while other pet(s) go in and get the aggro. This way, if one does threaten me, my reserve pet will intercept. and if they don't aggro me, I just send the guard pet in to have a litte fun.

p.s. My future plan is -- If I'm fighting something really nasty with my CL 70 pet, I keep my other finger on Burst Run - Just in case ![]()
