Thread: Does Dodge Work If You Do Not Have Pistol In Hand?

Lets say you change weapons.. but you are a master pistoleer. Can you still dodge things or do you have to have pistol in hand for dodge to work?

You need to have a pistol or a one handed weapon equipped. If you have another type of weapon in your hand it won't work. If you have nothing in your hands the base dodge works, but that's like a .1% chance to dodge or something like that.



So, pistol or one handed weapon.

Does dodge work at all? I read the sticky about it, and how everyone has a dodge modifier, it just sucks if you didn't get it from a profession. Well, I've been playing since launch+1 and I can tell you with almost 95% accuracy that I have never dodged an attack. Not one single time. So, if pistoleer dodge works, that'll be quite nice thanks.

Yeah Dodge works. Rather well too since they upped how much we get.

So if the Devs don't know for sure, the best I can give you is that Fencer test - which indicates that the Dodge mods only work if you have a pistol of 1-handed weapon equipped.

reason i ask is that tka gives modifiers to help dodge.. but i do not see the benefit if you cant actually use dodge with vibros..

Vibroblade, though. One handed as in from the fencer tree. I believe.

A Master Pistoleer will Dodge like a madman with a pistol equipped, but as soon as the VKs go on, there's little if any Dodging happening, not even with Center of Being active.


Seems like Dodge modifiers only work with a pistol or 1-handed weapon equipped, and VKs count as unarmed.
