Thread: Is Low Blow worth giving up First Aid and Pistol Grips?

MCH here who dabbles in TKA and Pistoleer with a question for you experts out there. I'm primarily a PvE player and have Fan Shot and Expert Meditation already whileworking towards the TKA combat column for the defenses there. I had planned on taking the Pistol Grips column for the Dodge, but wondered if the ranged knockdown in Low Blow may be worth giving up Dodge andFirst Aid in the Medic tree for some more offense.
I typically use my pets to tank NPCs and wail away using Fan Shot, which workspretty well. I was wondering if Low Blow might make that even more effective at the cost of some defense? I've read mixed reviews of Low Blow and wasn't sure. Some say it is essential for anybody weilding a pistol while olthers say it doesn't knockdown consistantly enough to make it useful.
If I went with Low Blow, I'd still be able to heal my own bleeding with the meditation, although not during battle. I'm a little concerned about losing the First Aid for my sometimes bleeding pets, but if the fights were shorter because of knocked down opponents it might counteract that. I'd be losing some defense without the higher Dodge, but could buff that a bit with the new foods for when NPCs ignore my pets and start to fire on me instead.
Any thoughts?

Low blow is useful. As a ranged KD its pretty effective, there is a delay to it however. Without a dizzy shot you wont get more than 1-2 more shots in there while they are KD. But couple that with panic shot and you've got a pretty decent PvE shot.
Is it worth dumping first aid over? No! First Aid, for me at least, is invaluable. More and more NPC Mobs are using bleed shots, I got a 1300 health bleed from a Tusken
that required 8 first aids to get rid of!.
If you can get panic shot (ranged warcry) without giving up any of your TKA stuff (KD/Dizzy) or first aid, you'll be damn effective.
