Thread: Problem with Dizzy and Pistoleer dodge?!

I got killed today in a very frustrating way which made me wonder if it were intended that you should be killed that way?

What happened was that I ran into a blue agro mob who hit me with dizzy. I'm a master pistoleer so after the dizzy effect I kept on dodging and dodging his shot. But because the pistoleer dodge is a major move it trickers the dizzy effect every time you dodge so you fall down!

The result was that this blue mob slowly nibbled me to death over a very long time where I constantly fell down because of my dodgesand could do nothing and the few times he hit me I had the dizzy effect renew itself.

The result was that my dodge killed me against a blue mob!

Can this be intentional?

Can't we get the animation linked to our dodge changed so it doesn't cause the dizzy effect to take place every time we are able to defend?

I do believe you are on to something. I have +112 dodge as a master gunny and thanks to some nice clothes and I dodge 90% of stormtrooper fire. I love being able to roll around like Neo from the Matrix. But when i get shot by dizzy I do dodge and fall down again, and dodge and fall down again....and again....and again.... Maybe it is something else that I am missing, so much going on in combat that I rarely have time to get all of my facts straight. I do wonder about that animation problem, does it trigger it?

I don't think so. I hadn't noticed this at all.

But then again I haven't been neccessarily paying attention. I'll try to give this a shot.

Interesting, there was one time I was dizzied by an easy mob and all of a sudden I just started flopping like a fish out of water...

I can test this when I get the chance. Could be a few days. In the meantime, do you still have it in your combat spam somewhere? Can you scroll back up and take a screenshot?

Might want to /bug it as well.

Just took a screenshot of the log of the fight. From when I'm dizzy until incapacitated I'm attacked 26 times with me unable to return fire or heal myself. I never tried to change posture during the fight but there are several posture change messages where I fall down again.

Only thing I can see I misunderstood is that there were 2 blue mobs not 1.
