Either a DX2, a scatter,or a republic blaster...old fwg5's are good on unarmored targets. If you want a good gun, seeing that your from my server, check out Tcon's(located on Lok)many weapon shops...

If the target is unbuffed a prenerf krayted FWG5 will work you wonders. I have one that got an awesome speed slice and with a dmg powerup it is 75-360 at 0.8 speed. It kills people quickly with a fan shot spam or any other attack. But peeps nowadays have dmg mit 3 and armor so the FWG5 is useless in a lot of situations. The Republican Blaster is light armor piercing and it is energy dmg and a good krayted one can yield high dmg to armored targets. The Tangle pistol has really horrible stats but has stun dmg and it eats up armor. My Tangle Pistol has really bad stats but using health shot 2 and spamming BS3 I will go right through armor and eat up their health pool. If the person is buffed the low dmg of this gun will do you no good at all, just lay down and delegate your fp to your would be killer.

There is no "BEST GUN FOR PVP", it all depends on the situation

No armor = FWG5

Armor = Tangle Pistol

Armor and full buffs = Rep Blaster

Rifleman with stacked defenses = gun with the best accuracy and try to pistol whip the bastage first, then /burstrun hehe jk

So since everytime that I raid or protect from,you think the Republic Blaster would be the best way to go?

If you raid a lot of player bases then you should have at least one of each. Knowing your equipment will let you live a lot longer out on the field. What I stated earlier is just a rough guide, not a proven facts article. I used to only carry around a dozen or so FWG5's of various stats because as a newb pistoleer I thought that they owned in pve. Then I saw some critters walking around with high resists to heat and they had armor, not good news for an FWG5 wielder. So I kept examining all of the critters until I saw that I need a lot of firepower if I want to own all critters and not just certain types because they are vulnerable to my equipped gun.

Now take what I just said and apply it to pvp, examine your enemy. The easiest way to do this is to go out to a player city and pvp with those players a lot to get the feel of things in combat. When you understand how one guy gets shot by you for 1k dmg with stopping shot and the next guy only gets hit for 50 you will be ready for bigger adventures. It took me a while to understand as to why I shot one guy and only hit him for peanuts and the next guy was one shotted and I felt like a hero....everyone is built differently out on the pvp field. Just like all of the creatures in SWG have different stats and resists. If you pvp a lot against armored and buffed peeps.....try a rep blaster and see if you like it. They are usually slow so it helps to be a master gunny. If you pvp with some friends from school or work and it is just in good fun then go with an FWG5, they are quick and powerful. It all depends on what everyone brings to the main event on game day, there is no simple solution.

To my astonishment a DX2 can take out a turret while spamming stopping shot or fan shot. I took two out today on my own as a master gunny/master doc. That totally blew my mind to see the small block turret blow up after about 10 mins of spamming my attack. I thought that pistoleers were worthless for turrets...........HELLZ NO WE AREN'T WORTHLESS!!!!GRAB A DX2 AND SOME 80% ARMOR AND SOME UBER BUFFS AND GO OWN YOUR VERY OWN TURRET TODAY

Or you could just use the LP for that.

I personally like the DX2 for it's close-medium range accuracy and it's acid damage AP1. It's high minimum damage helps out you damage output alot as well, as higher hits are more reliable, even if you don't hit quite as high as you would with an RB.
