1. At best average.
2. Stoppingshot, fanshot. Occasionaly body shot if they have a low health bar or a pistol whip if they're in close.
3.Moderate
4.Krayt FWG5, Tangle. I don't have a new DX2 yet.
5.Fanshot if it's a group. Stoppingshot if there is just one guy.
I think that the main problem with pistols in PVP is that you run into fully buffed people with 80 to 90 percent armor. The lack of good AP plus the lower damage of pistols really hamper us. With the PVP reduction I do about 250-350 with stoppingshot. Add in armor and that drops down to about 50-70 which is about as much as it costs me to shoot them. Even if I am buffed and armored like they are, the other classes outdamage us with the screwed up speed system. Hopefully this will be addressed in the Combat Re-balance.
If I happen across a unbuffed or armored PC (hopefully both) then I've got a pretty good chance of winning. For example, one day I was siting in a cantina with a TEF and a overt Imp TKA walks in and attacks. He tries to knock me down but I resist. I knock him down and shoot him several times with stopping shot and incap him. Both of us were unbuffed and unarmored.
I hopein the next publish they will balance out buffs and armor. I see that as one of the main things that are hurting us PVP.

1. so so, working on technique, armor buffs etc
2. In groups of both sides, fan shot exclusivly. If in single combat, healthshot2, fanshot or stopping shot. In both cases if they are low health bar, I try to run up, smack them with melee defence and finish them off with bodyshot3.
3. moderate.
4. Republic blasters. Its my second highest damage pistal, is fast enough, and has AP.
