Ive been workin on my TKA-Pistoleer-Smuggler setup for months now and im almost done witht he TKA part.

Pistoleer just seems insanely slow to me, I pull out my 215dmg FWG5 or my 210dmg Rep Blaster and spam double shot (im 0-0-2-0) and I come out of the fight either dead or with 100xp.

My problem is that pistoleer arent too good at solo, the damage is just too petty at my level to do anything against any good-xp monsters. And when I group my % damage isnt high enough to earn more than just scraps from the table.

So im asking all the other people who have "been there done that" to tell me, how can I get xp fast and efficiently?

PS In case difficulty IS a question, I wear "lite" 55% comp armor, and my stats with PB and food are like

1500-1400-2200 and my I only have the 0-0-2-0 in pistoleer and 0-0-1-0 in smuggler

Get buffed and get to a crack down city. Storm Troopers give 2900 XP a kill. You will never clear the spawn. They just keep comming and comming.

Sure, you might give up a little faction to a Imp player every now and then, but even if you die you lose nothing. It's a faction death so you don't even lose 1%. Just come out of the clone center, find some buffs, port back to your city of choice and go to town.

Some Imps might cry about faction farming, but poot on them. The only other places to get as good a spawn rate are fort tusken and the new dungeon, both of which are over crowded and a pain in the butt. The is no place in the game with better exp then a crack down city. And get a good DX2. Keep the FWG and the Republic in you backpack, they don't hold up to a good post patch DX2.

If your a Imp... Well your a smuggler, sell your faction and go rebel for a couple of weeks, then just buy it back.

What i did to get it was first of all get pistol melee defence 1 mobs cant attack while on their backs. second hunt in groups of 3 to 4 players because your right you wont be effective against mobs untile you about halfway threw it.I personally was a creature handler and thus it helped me move up much faster but if you have a friend who has one us it. Group hunting sharnaffs in corellia i would say is about the best exp i have gotten. Most of the time 2-3k a kill. As for my personal method of leveling in pistoleer i went techniques then grip then marksman while levelng in stances as i went. This is just comeing from a master gunfighter 1240 smuggler and a commando take it as you will.

Get yourself a probot, group with it and leave it at the mission terminal that will give you an xp bonus without having to compete with others for the kill. Go to Dantooine and do savage quenker missions, the best bang for your buck they have 4900 HAM and payout around 3800 XP each grouped with a pet/ droid. I used bodyshot2 on them til I got fanshot then used that til I got master and now use stopping shot mostly. We can solo pretty good just gotta be patient a novice isn't going to be as efficient as a master.

why kill all those things with twice the HAM if not more of savage quenkers which means they take longer to kill for maybe 1000 more XP and in some cases the same XP or even less?

Ravenous Tortons on Rori are safe and about 2.5-3k xp. Good money missions too.

go to dantooine, with buffs, take a stack of brandy, join a group, get voritor hunter missions (24k to 25k payouts) and then drop the group. Go have fun killing Voritor Hunters for 4.8k to 5.3k each. Voila.

Grouping with a droid is a good idea. But don't use a droid with med armor. Get one of the millions of MSE droids on the bazaar. It will lower your group level. Then, those savage Q missions on Dant are only 400-500m away.

I was doing two missions in 7 minutes time. Thats from leaving the terminal to getting back to it. 6 savage Q, 4K each and 3-4.2K from the lair if they were all full grown. Plus the terrible Q that pops on occasion. Ground about 350K pistol xp an hour.

You may also want to get a DX2. And always check the targets resists. Savage Qs are acid vulnerable IIRC.
