Thread: Is Dropping Master Doc for Eye shot on the BH pistol line a good idea?

Here is a story that broke the camels back...the other day in Moenia I had come back from the Emperors Retreat picking off STs and Overt IMPs doing theme park missions (no problems with lesser proffession/non buffed foes). But when I come to a desolate cantina to FIND a OVERT IMP Master Bounty Hunter (Big Problem). Me and him go at it, we are both buff to the gills for stats as he and I were exchanging blows back and forth. The fight must of lasted for 5 minuts (honest to god) but easily the best fight I had in a long time. I would do a KD and Spam stopping shot at him...Not gonna do that much dmg to a high resist composite, fully buffed Pker but the only move I have at my disposal for PVP since I am a Master Doc/Pistoleer Temp. He on the other hand was MBH with some med skills. He hits me with everything, torso shot, a DOT, which I healed at the expense of my mind. I had 2k of mind that was shreded after my moun downer with his eye shot and needless to say lost a good fight. /bows, sends /tell on how good of a fight it was, and I reply in the same maner. Now I only wished that I had a mind specific attack. That probaly would have given me a chance?
My stats: Buffed 2.5-3k+ hams, 2k mind, Armor and Helm with 60-80% resists for stats and Skill enahancemets to boot. Clothing with +20 stun ect,ect,ect.
My gun: Prenerfed Kryat fwg5 1.1 speed 120-450 dmg
DX2 scoped 1.8 spd (with coupler) 112-240 dmg.
This is not a bitching or ranting post, I just want ideas as to getting a viable template that would attack the Mind pool combined with my master pistoleer skills.
As a Pistoleer with Bounty pistols 4 I can tell you this... You have to use what's available. If you see they're low on mind, eyeshot works wonders, if they aren't, don't use it... The damage isn't really high enough to make it worthwhile.
As far as dropping basically two whole profs in order to get one special, no. Don't do it. BH pistols 4 is good for 2 things, speed, and accuracy. Oh, and sticking a burn to someone is a good way to get their attention.
With the lack of docs I'm seeing around, being a master doc myself is tempting. But I like being able to hit almost anything, even defense stackers at this point.
Get one of the new geno stun pistol schems, get one all krayted up, with a Pup and you don't have to worry about their 80% resist comp armor. Also, a master BH has no defenses so make sure you keep him on his back at all times.
Basically, my answer as someone who has basically what you're talking about, no, just eyeshot isn't worth it. Maybe a 4 in it, would be worth it, but just eyeshot by itself is not.
If your going up in pvp vs a defense template (pistoleer/fencer) you wont break through unless you have BH pistol 4.
Reason being you need the extra accuracy bonuses. If you get BH4 pistols you will have no problem...
BUT....when the next publish comes out the the defense stack will be maxed at 125 right now people are at 170+. Soan enemy with a defense of 125 you might be able to break through just being a master pistoleer.
"Might be able" is key there, i can't wait to see if We will still be bonked around.
