Being pistoleers, don't you think we should have holsters to store our pistols in? Perhaps when they Re-vamp the Pistoleer profession, they can add holsters as a new craftable item for Tailors, 2-3 styles would be enough i think, i don't care if there's an animation or not, but i'd like to see my pistol at my side, instead of in my hand all the time. Besides, when the Chef's got Re-vamped, they got spiffy new approns and hats,I think we deserve holsters. What do you guys think? And, yes they should fix all of the bugs, and they'll try and do their best. But we all know they're going to add new fluff content anyway, it might as well be something cool and somewhat useful like holsters.

basic storage. pistoleers would get an extra 2 inventory slots, along with the cool look...

i'd imagine holster would fit under the belt slot.

Along the same lines, making Bandoliers actually functional would be nice ... 6-8 slots that would only take weapon power-ups ...

I say we set a petition going for sheaths, get bandoliers to work, and holsters. Like the small of the back thing, a holdout for scouts, and shoulder ones (Matrix style). Be pretty sweet if you ask me.

if we keep with the new looted items that tailors can make, then holsters should...

1)Have one (single wield) or two (dual wield) container slots that only can hold pistols. These pistols are auto-equipped.

2) Have pistoleer mods: perhaps Dodge +5, Pistol Accuracy +5, Pistol Speed +5?

3) Fit under the 'belt' slot

just out of curiosity when will they revamp pistoleer? answer AT MY FUNERAL (thats not for a while.... i hope)

Even Star Wars movies dont like NGE....

Yoda: Twisted by the Dark Side, young SWG has become. The game we played, gone it is... Consumed by the NGE.
Mace Windu(us): The customers will decide SWG's fate.
Supreme Chancellor(Devs): I *am* the customers!

"And so it is" said Bail Organa as he left.
So this is how liberty is crushed...... by the sound of Tiggs Paws.

I'll miss being a TK

I oppose the NGE and support Holocron Shug and Q-3p0's dream of the way SWG should be!

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, ?How can we do this and not make another EQ?? We didn?t want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we?ve created a system to make that happen."

What usefulness did the chef's hat and apron serve? They're just graphical fluff.

We want holsters for our weapons. They would mainly be graphical fluff. But I'm fine with that. Perhaps, like the chef attire and the food revamp, they could roll out holsters with the combat revamp.

I want a quick-draw holster. Especially since I'm working on Quick-Draw now. How can I be a Quick-Draw if I can't draw?

Any other Beta testers here? Wasn't there some discussion about holsters back then? I have a vague recolection of them being pulled in Beta for a reason... Well, in any case, I'll drop my 2 cr on this tired discussion.

I have always agreed that Holsters would make a fine addition to the graphics of the game, but... there would also need to be sheaths, sholder straps for rifles and carbines, etc., for this to be even remotely fair and balanced.

All that aside, I'd prefer pistol holsters to be player craftable, and have cool animations when worn- equiped pistols are holstered when not in combat, in-hand when in combat, and animations when drawn and holstered at the begining and end of combat, respectively. As much as I'd love to see more than one type of holster wearable, it would be likely neccissary to have "usable" (as described above) holsters limited to belt replacements. Bandoleer/backpack replacing sholder harnesses could be interesting... but likely not implimentable as an interactive "usable" holster because of issues when both types are worn (dont want to give the Devs too much programming on our wishlists!).

On the filp-side, purely decorative holsters could be introduced with selectable grips (or empty), in the same manner as color selection for Collectors Edition goggles and the current fix for composite armor color shifts: An additional radial menu item for holster contents with a selection screen offering various pistol grips to display, including "empty".

Here's a thought: perhaps 2 or 3 different holsters for the different pistol-wielding classes? Hip for the Pistoleer (fastest draw from the hip), Sholder harness for the Smuggler (concealable under a long coat or heavy jacket), and a different type of sholder/bandolier rig for the BH (for the multi-weapon user that carries everything...). Each one made available at the top tier of one branch (for Quickdraws in Pistol, and DF and BH Pist for the others).

Well... seems I put in a few more creds than just the 2 I intended...

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

Graphical fluff or not, actual holsters would be very great. I am tired of my character holding my gun all the time. It looks so rediculous when riding vehicles or mounts. If you could have your weapon in a holster, it would be just like it was equipped, whenver you went into combat the gun would switch to your hands without you having to equip it.
