Thread: A returning pistoleer looking for advice on fighting

Sorry if this has been brought up many times before.
I just returned to the game after a 4month break. i'm 0-1-4-2 into pistoleer, plus 1-2-2-4 doctor. I have a republic blaster (off top of my head 2.4spd 75-244, health bleed)
I have tried my hand at fighting savage quenkers(sp?). Haven't faired to well (i blame it on my lack of skill 
). What specials shouldI be using? Fanshot I know, and bleed obviously, but they still do some nasty damage to me. I just picked up a set of 77% kenetic composite armor. I"m guessing that will help out? Just looking for some general tips on how pistoleers are fighting these days. When I last played you could spam knockdown (very lame i know), is it still usful against mobs?

Try using bodyshot2 on the quenkers, it might go faster than fanshot does for you at your current speed level. Make sure your buffed too just in case you didn't already know that. Oh, and be careful using bleeds now, you lose XP proportional to how much damage the bleeds do.
