Thread: Best weapon with super low HAM?

I know the CDEF can have really low HAM, but its stats are pretty poor.

Scout pistols are a nice happy medium, and off the top of my head I think they get as good as 11/22/11, or maybe even slightly better than that, while still having good stats.

But I have to admit that I don't have much experience with a lot of the other ones in there like the 44s and the 44 steels, and D18, and DH17, and umm, are there more?

Any of those have really low HAM hits while still having decent stats?

I saw one that was like: 70-250 dmg @ 2.7 speed . It was an SR combat pistol so it had armor piercing 1 . It was also a "Lengendary item" that dropped of a dark jedi master.

the HAM was like 5/10/1

I had a MW make me an SR Combat just because (knew it wouldn't have great stats) and it doesn't have stats near that.

Those stats look fantastic! I'm hoping that someday well be able to get our hands on the high end weapons with stats like that made by players seen as how the Devs said that the best stuff will be player made...

Anybody seen a good Power 5?

Notig, was that uber-loot SR from beta or something? If so, I have a hunch that looted items were nerfed by release. In other worse, I would guess that a Master WS can still make something better than any looted item (especially if they also get looted enchancers, heh).

Dx2's are good becuze they are acid guns and most things in the game dont have acid protection. Problem is its short ranged .

Supposedly after the patch weaponsmiths can experiment away ALL HAM costs. So I'd keep my eyes open over the next few days for some pistols with very low HAM costs (though damage and/or speed may suffer because of it).

I'm pretty sure that Legendary Items were just added in the big monthly patch added this week.

No no no no no no no.

To reiterate: NO NO NO NO.

A weapon's HAM cost cannot be made to even approach zero.

The changes allows the HAM of *subcomponents* to be experimented to *near* zero. However, as with experimenting on HAM in general, the payoff from putting all the effort oh HAM isn't nearly as large as the payoff from experimenting on damage/speed.

Oh, and as for the gun, just buy a scout blaster.

What Easy McRhinopants said For those not familiar with the optional components, these are things like extended barrels and scopes. If added, they'll increase damage, or chance to cause wounds, or some other stat, but add more HAM to the item. So far, even with decent resources, crafters have had a very hard time tryint to experiment away all HAM costs on these optional items, but they've gotten them quite low. Unfortunately, once you burn all your experimentation points on reducing the HAM, you end up with an add on that doesn't do much - just gives you a couple extra points for maybe 1 or 2 more HAM cast.
