hi, i just started swg today, and i have been reading about the game quite alot before i got it. one thing i was wondering about, is if the stat migration go faster when in the totorial? ive heard that it takes days(!) to migrate stats outside the totorial. if this is correct, may some of you veteran players tell me witch stats are important for a twi'lek, pistoleer/smuggler?

thx, -Niklez

Niklez, stats are changeable in this game so it's not required to make them perfect...since what's perfect will change during play. It really takes the pressure off and let's you develop your character however you want.

A common choice is 1000 health/action/mind. High willpower, leftover in quickness/stamina. Early on, during PvE only, you might even drop mind some and raise health/action more, but it won't make a huge difference from what I've seen. The defaults would get you buy in most cases until you start to get a feel for your personal preference. One suggestion is while exploring/XPing, you should give novice medic a try to help regain health/action to reduce downtime. You can always untrain it later to regain the skill points.

Stat migration is instantaneous in the tutorial. If you wanted to start the game as an artisan with marksman stats you can do so in the tutorial and not have to wait at all. That's what I did.

As for good stats, I'm keeping my Quickness and Stamina maxed since Action is our biggest pool drain. I also keep my 3 mind stats fairly high because mind damage is the hardest to fix. My Health pool is ok, but my Health substats are weak, and I mostly use stims to repair my health bar.

twi'lek smuggler/pistoleer?

anyways, your going to want a balance between health and mind and high action. that's what i've got and i can solo tons of stuff. many people will tell you not to worry about mind and keep it rather low, they're the ones getting one shot killed by riflemen. you'll need str to get through unarmed but once your novice smuggler you won't need much of it anymore. my stats from highest to lowest are action, health, mind.

Dmitri is right on point if you are interested in PvP (Player vs. Player duels). If you really want to be more of a neutral or bypass the Glactic Civil War (GCW) fora while, you can take a bit from the mind pool and put it into the health or action pool. You can always migrate again later.

I'm neutral myself and have a fairly small mind pool, boosted my action and secondary action stats, and did the same for health.
