If I have that template, would it be possible to use both rooting abilities from pistols and MS? and how long does the root last for Improved stopping shot and Improved concussion shot?

From the Pistol guide:
Advanced Stopping Shot (0.40 Damage multiplier) - Makes a target stand still for 20 seconds with Advanced Stopping shot, and 15 for Improved. Great for kiting and allows you to get a few damage shots in. The cooldown timer is around 48 seconds depending on your speed.
Improved Concussion shot lasts for 40 seconds and breaks on damage.
Ahh, I see from another post you want to solo DJK's with roots. This probably isnt the way to go as if you damage the DJK while it is rooted with concussion shot the root will break.
I have killed cl500 Jedi Sentinels using CM's Imp. Electrolyte Drain so you may want to look at CM for high level soloing.

The issue with this is as already stated, concussion shot breaks on damage. The other issue is that when Concussion Shot is broken by damage, the target gets angered or some other state (not sure what it actually is), but the target cannot be hit with concussion shot again for a period of time.
