I took down a Krayt Dragon Ancient. I have not, to this point, taken down anything higher then lvl 85. It was good fun, except for when he -retreated- a bazillion times (or 4). I had to clone 2x because I kept messing up when applying e-drain, but I got him in the end.
So first question, a general question, is there a good way to prevent them from retreating, or do you just have to keep pounding on it?
Second question, specific to krayts. Are pearls dropping? I killed quite a few Krayt's in general, 4 adolescents and a grand on top of the KDA. All I got was a Smuggler componet, a Mandolorian Intraframe or some such thing.

Sorry, I don't know how to clicky...

Congratulations on a job well done
Best way to keep them from retreating is WP'ing his originial spawn and then circling it, never drawing it too far away from the WP. It retreats once it's been dragged too far from said spawn point
And they're still dropping pearls, but only of 'Good' quality.

It's original spawn point kept popping out more Krayts, so circling there seemed unadvisable. However, I kep accidentally going really far up the canyon, so that was probably it. Would pulling it about 100m from the spawn point and then circling work as well?

Probably. Never done an actual test on how far you can make them go before they say 'no'.
