Im a wookie working on Mastering CH and BE. I picked up Pistol as I believe (I sure hope Im right), that pets damage health so I thought both me and my pets doing health damage would be beneficial. But with mastering CH and BE all I will be able to do is climb one tree.

As a Wookie with pets, that plans on only PvE, which is the best tree to climb? I was thinking of going up the grips. Point Blank Area 1 has helped me already, as I get swarmed by an aggro'd mob of Krevols after failing a DNA sample, so PB area 2 would be nice. I also think maxing my dodge would help vs. the critters too.

But like all aspects of this game I find the "theory" way different from the "reality" as trees sometimes look way better than they are.

If someone can give me a bit of guidance, Im almost at novice pistoleer!

Tough choices, all the trees offer some advantage, as the previous poster stated, PT4 is nice, but so is dodge. The last tree gives melee defense (an advantage in PvE), while the accuracy tree is nice also. So you really need to decide what is is you want to do in the combat role. Techniques also gives nice state defenses (something to consider). Disarm shot 1 does double dmg to lairs. You may want to get more than one tree, with 14 skill points you can get a box 2 and a box 1. You may also want to get ranged support 1 to 4 (and just keep novice pistoleer for teh guns adn health shot 2), these give you nice defensive specials to keep creatures away from you so you can escape.

ive you can scrape together 14 extra SP I recommend getting 0/4/4/0 in Pistoleer, if not just use techniques if all ya wanna do is nail health

Defenses won't matter as much, as your pets will be tanking for you...

I'd say go up techniques...
