I looted an EE3 carbine off of a rancor yesterday. It doesn't do great damage but it does heat damage instead of energy. Is this rare?

wrong forum...it's a carbine & no weaponsmiths make them :/

No, EE3 Carbines are craftable by players.

all ee3's are heat. if it is off a rancor, I would bet there is something special about it. Colored name? may have a dot, or better ham or speed.

It has a green name. I don't know about carbines enough to know if it is special but I thought the heat was odd. Oh well.
