Thread: Which pistol line to drop, if the nerf passes (going to get Smuggler dirty fighting)

Ok sorry to post something of this nature since I used to think being a Master Gunfighter was a great achievement. Unfortunately since our AE KD will most likely be nerfed, I'm thinking about taking the dirty fighting smuggler line(hopefully its actually given something decent but chances are that won't happen if you look at the devs current track record). In order to keep my template working, I will have to drop one line of pistoleer and my ranged support line from marksman or drop 2 lines of pistoleer. What lines would you drop? I'm guessing tactics since none of the specials work properly, but the only problem with this idea is if they do indeed fix BS3, that leaves me with no good ham specific shot (except BS2). Now the marksman line was another idea of mine but it seems like those added bonuses to accuracy might play a better role with the upcoming patch and its changes regarding "moving" accuracy modifiers etc... I'm really at a cross roads since I want to keep stances/grips since its the only line with any special that is halfway decent. I also thought about keeping my special abilities line since I don't want to try to get all that combat exp over again (also +speed modifiers are nice).

What do you guys think? If you are a smuggler already, please list your template.

My current one is Master gunfighter, Master CH, medic FA tier IV (full points).

I would just sit tight. If the smuggler dirty fighting line turns out to be good after they're done nerfing pistoleer, then it will just get whacked too. About the time you mastered DF it wouldn't be useful anymore and you would just have to move the points back..

The Dirty Fighting Line has some great moves but realize:

1. They're all defense-oriented.
2. You get NO pistol ability modifiers...just one special move per level.
3. You do know you need Unarmed Specialist to get Novice Smuggler right?

Yep I realize all of the above... I figured thats why I'd keep my special abilties and marksmanship lines (for the ability modifiers). (:
