hi

I have just achieved novice pistoleer and am only about 10k short of gettin one of the 1st branches. however after reading these boards (which I wish I had done b4 i got it) I am quite worried.

Having only just attained the profession I'm not privvy to it history of nerfs or the problems with the profession or the current issues that the people who play pistoleers have.

I have read some of the posts regarding these issues but because I am new I get the feling I am missing some of the background knowledge.

Would someone be kind kind enough to fill me in on all the gripes with pistoleer and tell me wether you think I should bother pursueing pistoleer in its current state, could u also tell me what move a pistoleer has that causes knockdown, if any. If it doesn't has 1 what is this classed equivelent and would it be worth going into smugler to get low blow etc?

A quick rundown.

At this point pistoleer has no status change attacks other than bleedshot 2. To getstatus change attackstake the support line in marksman to 4 and grab Smuggler for low blow.

Bodyshot 3 is little better than Bodyshot 2 for the HAM cost to use it.

Defense bonus does not really work...but that is true of most if not all combat professions.

Pistols have a big disadvantage in PvP due to hitting a healable stat and being able to do very little damage to it.

Advantages: Our weapons are fast and costs are low. You can spam attacks just about all day if your buffed up. It does really well overall in PvE. Try stopping shot and you will agree.
