Thread: Lack of HAM specific/status moves
Lol i laughed when I read your pleas in your report for some HAM specific moves "Give us torso shot" they whinged....or status change effects so you can dizzy/stun.
Get this into your heads pistoleers.
You guys are meant to be a vital tool of an Army/Group.
In the ideal Group you would be the important bridge that is between the melee tanks and the ranged guys like riflemen. Ever wonder why you have a melee knockdown so early on in the Pistoleer tree? Because ideally you should never have to use it, themelee members of the group like TKA should be keeping the mob from getting close to you or the other ranged players - your pistolwhip is there for the unwanted scenario that the mob breaks through.
Other classes are targeting HAM for you, as long as you deal damage [which stopping and doubletap does very well] you will get XP. so what is the problem?
Bounty Hunters on the other hand take down their marks solo as you've heard before so blah blah they need the specific attacks and the ability to stun/dizzy ranged knockdown their marks.
The problem of course lies in PvP.
Now a BH is strong in PvP of course but they are not undefeatable, I have seen BH's lose to Expert Gunfighters.
The problem is that PvP is not just about skills or who has the most ++ to accuracy/speed...its mainly about who gets the first shot in....which is mainly due to who has the least lag [seeing as when a duel is accepted both players are probably rapidly tapping on their toolbars].
When you get to a more typical PvP group scenario [after all it is the galactic civil war not the galactic wild west] I have no doubt that an "Army" of Melees, Rifles, Carbineers and Pistoleers would defeat an Army of Bounty Hunters..
