Then come on down and talk about guns!

Okay, went to endor and was hunting all sorts of Arachne's. You know the type, Medium armor, resists to everything but stun...yes, stun.

Now the poor tangle pistol suffers a few things. It is limited to 48m in range. My current base model is 44-103 dmg. Its drain is a little high.

But, I was doing full damage to arachnes, smoking em with fanshot. I love my tangle pistol. Its a poor, ignored pistol, but in certain situations, against many high level mobs, it is my new best friend.

Anyone else play around with some of the other non-standard pistols? (I also have an SR Combat pistol, but this is my post about my tangle.)

is the sr worth anything? ive looked at the stats and just stick with my scout and scatter

I would like to try the tangle or the SR, but on radiant all anyone makes is FWG5 and DH17, both are good and I love em, but it's getting kinda boring. Also all the DX2's on radiant suck horribly and are so outrageously priced I haven't even tried one of those yet.

Just doing this by memory, but I'm pretty sure the DPS on the scout is better. But, while the AR1 weaponsmay not be working forbonus damage vs AR0, I do know it is working at cancelling out AR1. So when I fight stuff that has AR1 and resists down the line, but low energy resist (found plenty on dantooine) I use my SR combat. I Can't remember its damage values but its a little more on both ends than the best scouts on the server. Its just slower. But that's ok because I got a speed slice down to 2.6. Also great to have people ask "What gun is that?"

I have found one weaponsmith on my server that will special order make these guns for me. She's starting to improve the tangle, which is fantastic because I love that little gun. (not as much as my DX2 and FWG5, but hey, they are just damage monsters.)

Personally, I like my DX2.

Light armor peircing, Acid damage, 129 to 199 dmg at 2.4 speed after slicing. I like it. I like it alot. Also have one sliced for speed at 1.9 and 100 to 157 dmg. I really can't find any other pistol that is made much better than this one.

Plus it makes a neat sound and fires green bolts.

That is a nice dx2. But you are neglecting to post your power ups. Even with an excelent slice I have yet to see any dx2'sdo damage in that range with out a power up. Scatter pistols are the best pistols you can have right now.

I like my

1. Launcher pistol very nasty with great fire works 45 - 195 speed 2.4 also 56-305 speed 3.5

2. FWG5 great for one shot kills 34-205 speed 2.4

3. Scout pistol fastest guns in the galaxy 45-176 speed 1.3

4. Tangler pistol got to love stun almost nothing is immune except AT-STs 36 - 136 speed 2.8

5. DX2 armour piercing acid damage plus really cool green bolts. 76 - 156 speed 2.4

I love all my pistols and eachis very usefull in the right situation but nothing beats the launcher pistol for great explosions and ground rumbling fun. Of course you have to a commando to use one.

Well, give some lovin to my other pistols I guess. My FWG5 is sliced to 59-265 dmg 2.1 speed and then I also have a 51-200 1.6 speed. I don't use powerups on either because I hate chewing up their quality.

Then my DX2 is 129-198 2.7 speed, no powerup.

I still love my tangle though. Its so nice...blew through droidekas today.
